Oh my word, so sad.
May she rest in peace and in memories of the car racing culture.

Sad to see such a brillant star to fade away so early. She was inspiration for Motorsports and made average man shy with her knowledge about the cars.

Sabine was an inspiration and proof that motorsport inspires devotion across all sexes.
The Nurburgring has truely lost it's Queen today.

Once my boys came home repeating some rubbish they heard from school - girls can’t drive! A YouTube video of the 10minutes-in-a-white-van Sabine and that was it. My boys’ re-education was complete.

Thank you Sabine for teaching my little rascals that girls can drive. Fast. . RIP

If I remember correctly, in one of the episodes before this one, she was guiding Jeremy Clarkson around Nurburgring in a Jaguar (?) and at one point she cursed at some slow drivers in front of her and said she can go faster than them "in a van".

So Top Gear put her in a van.

RIP Sabine.

Jeramy got a time 9 minutes 59 seconds in a Diesel Jag! I believe her speed when doing the Taxi runs were generally 8 Minutes 06 seconds in the BMW M5 to get some idea of how slow 10 minutes is.

German men are not the best drivers at times either, wrecking a new Ferrari in six hours

No, I’m pretty sure it was Clarkson boasting about how fast he went in the diesel Jag and the camera caught her saying that compared to him. TG was completely scripted but I had the impression that might have been an exception... as they only came back to her the next year.

And in all honesty: they didn’t give her „a van“, but a pretty basic Ford transit. I think they were afraid that with the more powerful Sprinter (with 180 hp instead of 120...) or similar she might have actually pulled it off...

If they want another example of how women aren't worse drivers then men ill happily demonstrate my driving skills.

My driving instructor once said I was better going backwards than forwards.
