Over the years there have been so many pairs of shoes that have looked good but not been so comfortable to wear. In my ignorance, I thought that this was just the way it was. Well, no more.
I was in Decathlon last month and saw the soles they sell. I decided to try one of each of these:
Leather ones for hiking boots 12chf each:

Synthetic ones for normal shoes 6chf each

Wow, what a transformation and when I tried them they were far more comfortable than the insoles that came with some of the shoes that I put them in. An expensive pair of Adidas Chile 62 that I hated wearing as they were so uncomfortable? They now rock. My pair of Lowe hiking boots which were slightly too big and roomy without good foot support? I can now walk on them comfortably all day nice and snug. I am now replacing all my my shoe insoles that were not so comfortable or cushioned to walk in.
Of course you can buy soles form other places but these were what I found and used so I am linking them. Moral of the story? Don't give up on shoes that are not so comfortable to walk in before you try putting a new insole in there first.
