Re: Must be Friday

Wow, that sounds like someone trying to take a deceased person "home" for burial. For some people, it's really important where their own remains, or those of their parents, are interred.

I've heard of relatives daring to do this kind of drive, with the body, when the costs of having the body flown out are prohibitive, plus now, with covid, it could be that such kinds of transportation are no longer even offered.

Re: Must be Friday

It's Friday, get another beer and enjoy pure yellow journalism:

Quote:
The arrest of a driver who drove 30 kilometers yesterday on the AP-7 in the Empordà and who was carrying a corpse in the seat next to him, was one of the most talked about news of the day in Girona, Catalonia and Spain. . Behind the reckless driving and running away from the police, there is a love story. Or at least, that’s what the detainee alleged.

The detainee, a 66-year-old man of Galician origin, with dual Swiss and Spanish nationality, explained that the person killed in the co-pilot's seat was his partner. He is an 88-year-old Swiss man. He added that his partner was suffering from a terminal illness and between the two they had decided to make one last trip. During this route - they would have passed through Italy, Madrid and Vilafranca del Penedès - that is when he would have died. An extreme that the Mossos d'Esquadra will now have to clarify. And it is that by the state in which the body of the old man was dead, it had been at least three weeks that it had died. At a first assessment, he observed no signs of crime in the corpse.
