iOS 15 - in at the deep end

Being a brave (or daft) so-and-so, I installed iOS 15 developer beta on my iPhone and iPad yesterday.

Not a huge difference and the main functions work. My only issue is Skype for Business does not work, forcing me to use my old Android phone for some meetings.

Anyone else jumped in at the deep end?

Re: iOS 15 - in at the deep end

At least in the Windows environment Skype for Business is being discontinued. The migration to MS Teams started a year ago or so. So, does Skype for Business still exists somewhere?

It's true that Skype for Business is no longer being developed and Teams is the future.

But for some big companies, the changeover is slow.

I do assume I can tell the people who run our service to not block iOS15 and fix my problem.....

Apple are widening Facetime to work for Android and Windows users and improve it multi-user capabilities to compete with Teams and Zoom...

Yes, that could be an issue. That IPs or port that old Skype needs are blocked in the name of safety.

Just as anecdote. I work sometimes for a public sector organization in France and I was amazed when they switched to MS teams one month into the 1st lockdown (April/May 2020). So, not all the things said about sclerotic large organizations are true.
