Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

Hope that yesterday all had a good start into the new week. Since we now have officially arrived in summer, I point to this, not quite from today, but also not old fashion song: "Summer wine". The two covers bring a few elements from the rock area into the action, which I can only support.

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

The sound of "Alan Parson" and his project has inspired me from the beginning. Many no longer know what he has produced all so. Good flight and have fun also with the jazz cover.

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

"Simply Red" turns 63 years old today. So I thought I'd keep an eye on his great music. As there are so many covers around, I had to make a choice on the following two you see. One is a bit more rocky and the other one is an interesting remix.

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

Today something really different than everything that has already been posted here in this thread. Sound from India. "George Harrison", and probably everyone knows the name, has spent a time of his life there. The following song was number 16 in the UK hit list in 1970. For more info, see the descriptions of the two (original and cover) productions.

Enjoy your coming, sunny weekend. Palme

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

Not much to say about the following songs, as we have Saturday evening. Your choice what you prefer, but definitely cool and smooth sound to start into a long, cool Saturday night. In my 20 ies I was a bartender by time and this sound was a good starter for any of the customer to start the night,

A beautiful tearjerker for a Sunday afternoon with a highly erotic voice in the cover.

"The Classics IV" is an American band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, in 1965. The band, founded by Dennis Yost, is known mainly for the hits "Spooky," "Stormy," and "Traces," released 1967 to 1969, which have become cover standards.

The original in this case is ok, but the dance mix has it really in itself with this absolute, remarkable, powerful beat.

A masterpiece from "Pink Floyd". Was unfortunately not present, like some friends of mine, at this unique concert. Piano players will love the cover.

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

I first heard this original song in the movie "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". To find some kind of special cover was quit difficult. So I choosed the one which is from the area of "Rap Music".

Have a good start into the coming weekend. Palme

Re: Best original compared with a cover or remix sound

Since I have already addressed the topic of "Disco music", I'll add one more. Find it by the way absolutely a pity that this music genre is no longer produced. In the following cover, however, the lady puts one on top in terms of what was produced in the original.
