Re: Visiting Dublin - What (not) to eat & drink there !!

After 3 full days in Dublin I am back. First thing, fetched a Guinness, continued fetching one til the end of the visit. That stuff is incredibly delicious!!! The Guinness Storehouse a fun and interesting visit.
I never walked this fast in a big city though, people walk at a pace, wow, real fast!! Street crossing became an amusement after a while!!!

Did almost all of the visiting by foot. Got lost several times and asked directions. The people were so friendly and helpful, no way we could be lost for long I like to get lost in side streets though, gives a different feel of a city and its people.

The most impressive visit for me was the Kilmainham Goal. The guide walked/talked us through quite a bit of Irish history which is rather something else, I hung on to every word he uttered.

Then the Post Office on O'Connell Street, I just stood there inside, waiting to buy some stamps, looking around open mouthed, it was so unusual in there.

The DART and the Luas I found the best way to travel around. We visited Malahide. Blackrock. Dun Laoghaire.

The food was so good and always plenty on the plate

All in all, it was way too short, enough to be in Dublin City, but I'd like to see other parts of Ireland too!!
