Re: The Gadget Thread

I am sure the illustration accurately depicts the merriment one experiences when spraying disinfectant on an old man's bare hindquarters.

Motorcycle operated automatic Garage Door Opener

This BMZ F800 owner developed this opener for his garage door. As he mentions, it could be modified for gates instead.

Excellent. Hope it becomes available for all products. The next trick will be to reduce the size of phone chargers.

The EU has forced the companies to come up with a common charger. At least a step in the right direction FINALLY. Should start to see it as of 2010.

great news!!! i never understood the need to have a unique charger though. do these handy companies make money from the charger in the after sales market? some printer cartridges has unique jigsaw shapes that function as locks, and these locks are regionally defined, as are the printers. this prevent parallel imports.

Re: The Gadget Thread

Courier. The Microsoft tablet. The video looks cool. Some good ideas. But because it's Microsoft, I'm dubious about the handwriting recognition, and the apparent smoothness of the software as portrayed in the demo.

I'd like to see a full-sized table version.

You can drop Spatzle pasta through it for the dog to catch.

Re: The Gadget Thread

Not a completely new idea. Golden Earring had drum pads built into a jacket in 1984, if not earlier.

It has taken a while to get to the high street.

Re: The Gadget Thread

this looks like a good idea, but seems improbable that it would do much more against whiplash, in comparison with a normal airbag.
