Re: What are you currently reading?

I'm (slightly) ashamed to say that I'm only reading Knife of Dreams by Robert Jordan now ... hadn't even bought a copy before now ... sorry, everyone, should've got into it earlier!
At least now, when I've finished it, I can go straight into The Gathering Storm ...

I'm very ashamed to say that I am working my way through Jeremy Clarksons collections from his newspaper column. Don't approve of him at all but am laughing my head off

Re: What are you currently reading?

I just finished this evening Web of Lies: My Life with a Narcissist by Sarah Tate, it is a auto-biographical novel, the first from the author. I really enjoyed it so much so I read it in 2 days.

Re: What are you currently reading?

I just finished unbroken: a WWII story of survival and Resilience. A non fiction book and probably one of the best books I have ever read. The writing was fantastic the story had me on the edge of my seat and I could barely put it down. Warning however, I almost lost my breakfast a couple times while reading.....

Re: What are you currently reading?

I just finished The Good Daughters by Joyce Maynard. Good book - more appealing for women than men.

I'm working my way through Curt Riess' history of the Odeon Cafe at the moment.

I've looked at the pictures already, and am just getting ready to read the words.

Heh - while I was in Dublin for the weekend I picked up a book that had old questions from the British O-level exams ... some fun ones in there, and the English questions make the current final exams look like a doddle!!

Re: What are you currently reading?

Just finished Paul Auster's 'Sunset Park'.
Four stars out of five.
Themes? The pain of watching your children grow up and stumble or die; homelessness, dealing with guilt and loneliness, boys versus men (as in some men remain boys while some young men become old souls).

prior to these I had been trapped reading some of Lee Childs "jack reacher" books.. pure trash but a good laugh.

Re: What are you currently reading?

Just finished "The Idiot" which was very long but I thought excellent. I just wish Russian literature could have decided to be a little shorter.

Now starting A song of Fire and Ice series by George R. R. Martin.

Also all on Kindle....I love it!

Got a new dispatch of Perry Rhodan books, this fab. sci-fi story....

it's just incredible how writers make the story to continue since the beginning, in 1961....
