Am impressed (although find it very heavy). The book must be excellent - will read.

Having seen the film Ensemble, c'est tout (in French, with German subtitles, and an on call "huh, didn't get that bit" facilitator), I bought the English translation Hunting and Gathering by Anna Gavalda.
A very sweet film, and a beautiful book. I've ordered the original and will read that as soon as I can.

Revisiting my youth, and reading The Famous Five books by Enid Blyton.
All I want to do now is pack up a picnic of freshly baked bread, ham, tomatoes and ginger beer, and escape to Kirrin Island for an adventure!

Two books at once to balance the contents😉 one total madcap stuff, the other a kind of thriller

Currently reading Alice by Christina Henry.
It's fantastic. Dark and thrilling and twists Wonderland into some very dark shapes indeed. Have just ordered the sequel Red Queen. Wow. If you like VE Schwab's A Darker Shade of Magic , you'll love this.

Haruki Murakami - What I Talk About When I Talk About Running.
It's a bit fluffy for my taste, but it is a good companion between my runs.

Just finished Big Little Lies. I read it in the same pace as when I read of the Girl on the Train, a typical go-to book while waiting for doctor appointment |

Just finished 'Rivers of London' by Ben Aaronovitch, which is a delightful 400-ish pages of madcap entertainment.
About to start 'Dead Girl Walking' by Chris Brookmyre.
On my radar is 'The Ghost Bride' by Yangsze Choo. I'm in two minds whether to get it or not? Has anyone read it?
