Re: Do you give a name to your car ? ? ?

The last car is "Old Car", and the current one is "New Car". I only buy second hand Volvo's and put 300K+ before they go, so the New Car is usually pretty wiped when it earns the Old Car name.

Re: Do you give a name to your car ? ? ?

I called my old Bahama blue Brabus by the name of "Bahamut"

Don't have a name for my AMG funnily enough, but the Smart Roadster I still share with my ex-GF has the name of "Smartie".

I had a beautiful Blue Toyota Fortuner SUV (only available in Asia!) and it was affectionately known as "The Big Blue Beast" by my children. I now have a Kia Sportage which is now know as the "Little Black Beast"!

My ex- BMW 325 IS / M-technics with AC Schnitzer tunning was called "Wild bunny", Wild cause it never went out of the parking or go into a turn without drifting wildly, Bunny cause it was so fast

Do you have a name for your car?

Well, it's summer holidays so I'm extra bored in work. I happened to mention to my Portuguese colleague that my car is called Oscar and my fiancés is called Julie. He found this very funny and wont let the subject drop. To me it's perfectly normal to name your car by using the registration plate or make of car.
Anyone else name their car; and if so, (dare I ask) how do you choose its gender?

Re: Do you have a name for your car?

I have a Jeep Liberty... I named her #1 (number one).. My Caddy was named CC for CTS. There is nothing wrong with naming a car. My in-laws name all their cars as well.. Ribbons for the wagon and Bows for the shiny reflection on the hood ornament. Ha ha!

Re: Do you have a name for your car?

my car's name is "Mozzarella" - the reason is that it has an on board computer that sounds a warning "bong" if something needs attention. When I first got the car it used to "bong" quite regularly as there were a number of faults that needed curing, my wife commented that the car was always "am Motzen" (motzen = moaning or complaining in German slang) hence "Mozzarella"
