V Festival

If anyone is interested, V Festival tickets go on sale this morning!

Am not sure yet if I will be attending as am waiting on friends back in UK to confirm if they are going to try for tickets too. If I do go it will be the Weston Park venue and if anyone wants to tag along, you're more than welcome.

I miss last year but went the two years before that. Although its quite commercial I really enjoy it. Lying back with a cold beer and listening to Athlete in the blazing sunshine... superb.

Could well be there again this year, as I have an insane friend who always enters competitions for VIP tickets there. If she sorts me out. I'll be there!!!!!!!!

Re: V Festival

I got my ticket for Weston Park on the Saturday 18th Aug!!

Will be flying to UK on Fri 17th Aug Basel to Liverpool so if anyone else is going and taking that flight I might see you on it!!

Really looking forward to see the Killers... James are also on the line up so if Tim Booth sticks around after their spring reunion (which couldn't get tickets for) I may get to see him afterall.. swoon!!!!

Roll on the summer.... now all I need to do is make sure I get my Glastonbury tickets!!

It didn't used to be sooooo commercial... I went to V96 the first ever V festival!! That was before the Weston park days when it was held at Victoria Park Warrington.

There was none of this selling out of tickets in an hour and frantically staring at your computer screen waiting in a queuing system and hoping the site doesn't crash just as you click confirm payment where you are left in limbo not knowing if you have tickets or you need to go through the process again... We simply purchased tickets in a calm civilised manner the week before the event and I think it was like that up until about V2000.

Sadly it has got more and more commercial over the years and a little less intimate than it used to be, but they also attract the bigger bands now so suppose thats the price you pay. We also used to take our own food and drink in and never had the problems that were reported last year with people having stuff confiscated (didn't attend last year so am just going on hearsay)

Re: V Festival

I've moved this from Commercial Events to Off Topic, as the V-Festival isn't taking place in Switzerland.
