Re: Swiss Girls

If 'Swiss Girls' has been done to death, how about Swiss guys?

Guys, girls... I can't even make eye contact in this country, let alone get into conversation (although that might be the Schweizer Deutch issue). I hadn't realised this til I went to Paris a couple of weeks back. Now they really know how to look at a girl! Born to flirt! I'd defy anyone to stay single for so much as a week there!

Re: Swiss Girls

Ok I don't know about this subject, but according to what I hear a lot here, guys are not very good at flirting or approching a girl. So I'm always very surprise when a random guy give me a smile, a look or a comment.

Last summer I was sitting in the tram, pregnant and feeling like a beluga. A man came in and sit couple of seats in front of me, facing me. Cute looking guy, well dressed, etc. He was smilling at me, making eye contact, etc. When my stop came I stand up and went to the door and he saw my belly..... he was soooo blushing!! He didn't see that part!

Last week, I walk in the street with my little girl in the pram and an other good looking, well dressed man passed me and said: La crème de la crème!

Ok, now I'm thinking maybe the weirdos changed their wardrobe?

I thought now I have a child, no man will look at me again.... so they must be weirdos!

Anyway it felt good! Thanks weirdo!

Re: Swiss Girls

I find that having or not having a child does not alter a woman's attractiveness - just the possibility of her being 'available'... and personally, I usually find that those women who have children actually have a woman's body, not a girl's.

Swiss girls change all the time: their minds, their moods, they're hot and then cold. Up, down, happy, moody etc etc..
I think the mood depends and changes from canton to canton.....

Now where's that guy who often says, "A thread without pictures is worthless"?

A puppy is the best ice-breaker. Young people, old people, cute guys and gals, practically half of Cham has stopped to talk to me ever since I've been slouching around the streets of this tiny town with this wonderful dog. ^_^

At last! There is someone who is attracted to the "tired-shadows-under-the-eyes" look which is often accompanied by the vacant stare, dishevelled hair and silver trail of snot and dribble on the shoulder.

Rock on!

Re: Swiss Girls

I just spent the weekend with the most delightful young long-legged filly, a cheeky little creature, who, while being of Arabic extraction, was certainly born in Switzerland and who, therefore, counts as Swiss in my eyes.

She was quite a lively beast, I must say.

Can't speak for the rest of 'em, though.

Re: Swiss Girls

I know it's been done to death but I'll add my 2 cents as it's a fresh thread

I have found Zurich extremely hard to meet Swiss women. Then a while back I hopped over to Bern to get my passport renewed, and it felt like I entered a different world. People were looking me in the eyes on the street, smiling, seemed more relaxed, and even the lady who worked at a coffee shop was flirting with me, quite openly. It felt really "normal" again for a few hours, and then back in Zurich it was back to being ignored.

What I learned from that is that it is different wherever you go, even within the same country. I think Zurich has an overall "higher standard" and people here are way more reserved, you literally have to approach them even if they don't "see you" or you think they haven't noticed you. Yes it's hard, but just tell yourself "what do I have to lose?", take a deep breath and go.

That said, it's still driving me crazy how much work it is to meet women in Zurich, in the rest of the world I always felt like it was "easy", not here though.
