Nice photoshopping ZDA, get serious. You have offered no technique other than good personal hygiene.
This should be moved to the blog/off-topic section where you can post as many ps'ed pics as you wish and go on an on about what fantastic results you've had since you've discovered sports and their beneficial effects on the human body.
Yep, if I want to pop-off on this Mickey Mouse thread I will.
Motivation level? High. |

never in a 100 million years am I gonna put up my fat-details on the EF. and Summer for me is all about laziness, pleasures of all sorts, getting a tan, slow down with work, tons of ice cream ... to mention just a few.

Just lost few kilos and tons of muscles + beer belly is growing quite naturally. Hail to the married people with happy life and well taken care of... Ah, btw it was me 10 years ago... I hope this photo qualifies me for this thread as I worked out quite natural without any doping (save for a few buckets of protein powder, couple of milk shakes and countless bottles of isostar). Pls dont ask me where all efforts have gone now as I became quite slender amateur tennis player |

I applaud this initiative Ze Devil.
I've gotten lazy and gained weight since I got back to Europe almost 2 years ago. I need to loos min of 10 kilos and build back muslce.
I'm a medium to broad frame guy, 180cm and currently around 100-105kg's.
I eat healthy but since I'm mostly in the office and travel quite a bit for work I do not burn the excess beer calories...

Even I will not put all these details in a public forum and am sorry about that Ze.Actually now,i am working on losing the extra weight (which is a lot )which i gained during my vacation.Successfully lost some 2.5 kgs in a month and hope to lose some more within august last week(I will ahve to lse another 5kgs).I just want to look good during our wedding anniversary.I am not too much into the fitness.I just want to stay healthy.
All i am doing for that are keeping a watch over what i eat, avoid red meat completely, not eating after 7 pm and a fast walk or jogging for 1 hour atleast 5 days a week.
So guys, noone really needs to share all the weight, fat percentage and BMI things if you really dont like the idea. But i think we can just post the diets or exercises we do to be fitter or to lose extra pounds.
Basically I am a foodie and I hated the idea of watching what i eat in the beginning. But then from experience,i understood its not easy to lose weight when you eat a lot even if you exercise everyday(was going for gym almost everyday in winter) .
Sometimes i will feel like stopping everything and just get back to the life where i can eat whatever i keep an eye on(yes, food is a fun part in life for me ).I try not to crave for food in those times by reading healthy living, fitness articles.I dont have eating disorder
so,it would be great to just share our experinces on staying healthy and fit.It would also be great for people like me to get the ideas from those who are in the same boat as me.
Cheers,
Nirmala.

| | Re: >>> Get Fit! Fitness accountability thread! <<< Man this world is really really cynical! I am really really dissapointed I really wanted to motivate anyone interested. I guess "health is wealth" is so yesterday? Honestly why would thread get moved to off topic when it is clearly about fitness? Shaking my head in utter amazement. | Quote: | | | | | Nice photoshopping ZDA, get serious. You have offered no technique other than good personal hygiene. | | | | | Huh! what is with the hate man? Do you mean Mickey Mouse head or that photo is not me? I put the Mickey head to protect my privacy and photoshoped out some clear identifiers on my body and around me. That is 100% me. If I wanted to fake it I would have picked a LOT better body than mine.
Technique? My friend what technique did you want? You wanted me to sell snake oil like most do? I am not a bloody fitness instructor who sells anything. I am a normal dude who tries to live a healthy life. You think some "technique" magically will make anyone fit? Eating habit is the most important technique, moderate resistance and cardio compliments that. Everything else is fluff.
Btw someone asked me if I am on illegal substance In case anyone else thinks that then they are 100% wrong. Would not even know where to start if I wanted to. I hardly drink alcohol so doubt I would be taking illegal substances in my mid 30s when I did not in my younger days (erbs don't count) Also if I was taking illegal substances I would have been 100 times bigger and 100 times more cut and not like the way I look.
If I don't get any takers then I am ditching this forum effort. As I said I don't need any silly forum or blog to continue staying fit. I was doing it as a motivating thing for everyone interested. I clearly said photo is optional. Everything else is so generic! Atleast you can put your current weight and where you want to be in 3 months.

Nirmal how about putting your current weight and BMI? Then we will take it from there and see where you are in 3 months?

ZDA while I admire your intention of trying to motivate other people I don't think this thread is the best tool for the job. Please don't get offended by this but it comes accross as somewhat egotistical. Many people struggle with weight loss and while something which encourages people to lead more active lifestyles is always good, something which effectively sticks it into their faces saying look at how fit I am may be more demotivating then motivating.
I also question your goals. You state that your "ideal weight" is 66-72kg, that you currently weigh 65kg and that you want to drop to 62-63kg. If you are already under your ideal weight why do you want to drop more?
You state your body fat which I believe you have measured by Biometric Impedence. This method is notoriously inaccurate and can only be used as a rough guidline as to whether your own body composition is changing or not. Even when doing so it has to be done under exactly the same conditions every time (time of day, hydration levels, muscle glycogen levels, food intake etc.). While it is a handy tool for assessing your own body composition to claim ones body fat percentage from one of these is questionable. Especially if it is the form where you stand on a scales or hold a device in your hands as the scales tends to deal more with fat in the lower body parts while the handheld device deals with more fat in the upper body. The more accurate bioimpedance devices use an electrode at each of the ankles and each of the wrists and as far as I am aware not too many places have these.
Also the picture you post clearly shows muscle structure through the skin. I don't know what you are looking for but the typical body builder 8 pack abs goal is not neccesarily a healthy one. To get that physique involves extreme measures and in most cases is only maintained for a competition or photoshoot.
To post a picture like that and then say that you want to lose weight is almost like sticking a finger up at the people who may really be able to benifit from a thread like this (Which by the way already exists!).
Your methods are quite good and sensible but I think you should focus either more on maintenance of your current physique or set yourself sports/performance specific goals before you become overly obsessed with your self perception and end up delving into unhealthy levels of fat loss.
I personally find that certain other issues in the post take away from the credibility of the thread.

I weight six six-pack a month and two bottles of Pinotage Souvignon. Not quite sure how much it is in stones and boulders |
