Ironically, the police enjoys exercising its effectivness in such minor incidents but when it comes to serious violent crime the reaction times are less splendid.

Thanks for that. British police can be so STUPID STUPID STUPID! But they may have saved some lives, as undercooked barbecued sausages could kill, especially us older people over 30.

(actually, I thank god that I was never there in the first place, but that's another story)

Only if the police helicopter were coming to this supposed rave with vital supplies of whistles and glo-sticks, then it would've been justified. No mention of that in the article so I guess we'll never know.

In the US, the police are always in donut shops. In the UK, do they attend barbecues? Perhaps they needed to satisfy a need for protein.

Have they revealed their internet sources? That would be interesting...
