| | Pottery classes in Zug/Zurich/Luzern
Hey!
Does anyone out there know of any pottery classes run by an English-speaking person? Could be anywhere near Zug, Zurich or Luzern- I'm quite prepared to travel!
Thanks very much,
Iffy

There is a place near Affoltern am Albis that does pottery classes but not sure what they are called. Also a guy in Ottenbach that does sculpture classes, he is a comemrcial artist that normally has some really interesting pieces outside his workshop. If you are interested in either location i will see if I can get the names for you & some more detail.

Thanks Lou. Don't think I'm quite ready for sculpture classes yet, but the place in Affoltern am Albis sounds promising. Would love some more info if you have it.

Old thread revival.
Im not really looking to take classes, but does anyone know of a pottery studio where one can pay hourly for the use of the space? (plus materials, kiln costs, etc.)?
I'm not looking for anything fancy. Pug mill, kick wheel, kiln, clay and glaze...
I used to belong to a pottery cooperative in California... very affordable.
If anyone knows of such a thing in CH, or would be motivated to contribute time/knowledge/space/equipment to get something similar running, please contact me.
Thanks...

There are pottery/clay workshops at Gz Wipkingen near Escherwysplatz on Wednesday evenings for adults. http://www.gz-zh.ch/gz-wipkingen/werkatelier/ |

Thanks for the input! (for some reason, i have no thanks button recently..)
Ive been scouring the web for the past hour, looking for a place where to throw some pots, plates, platters, bowls, etc. without spending a fortune.
This is the most reasonable pricing I have found so far: http://www.freizeitwerkstatt-aarau.c...twerkstatt.pdf
Located in Aarau
CHF 8/hr for studio use, CHF 14/kilo for clay, glaze, both firings.
Still a bit expensive compared to a 1 chf plate from ikea, but so it goes.
Most of the alternatives i've found on the web were +/- 3x the price....

Freizeitanlage Loreto has a ceramics atelier. Seems to be the cheapest option in the Zug area.
