Is the one in the middle Meatloafs love child from an Aussie groupie from a tour in the 80's....?
Ha ha, that's brilliant -- especially since I thought the guy looked like Mr Loaf, too, although I charitably assumed he was a much younger brother.

I saw the Meat perform in (near) Sydney in the late 80s -- 1987 or 1988 -- at a quality event (and venue): The World's Biggest BBQ, which was sponsored by something like Tooheys and was an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records, and was held over several days across multiple venues around Australia. In Sydney it was somewhere like Warwick Farm, or Panthers, or somewhere else hot, dusty and inaccessible. I think it did get into the record books.

Meat Loaf was notable for i) putting in a great performance (the guy really could sing, and had a brilliantly gifted songwriter in Jim Steinman) and ii) apocryphally requiring reinforcement of all of the stages he was to perform on during the event.

Hmmm, browsing on the net, it looks like that concert might have been in 1993 ... seems a little late to me, but maybe ...

I haven't a clue what this is about, but who cares?

Just close your eyes and soak yourself in it...

An interesting new offering from Lady Gaga. Some may consider the video NSFW

Re: Song of the day

this band from Virginia caught my attention with the album "Losing sleep". They are amazing. Something in common with Maroon 5 but more soul.

Refreshing sound, sax (thanks God it's back), infectious refrains...I need to thank master Daryl Hall who introduced them to me.

Spring 2011, Parachute is on tour and opening for Plain White T's in the US. Their second album The Way It Was is to be released on April 12, 2011

I'm looking for musician to make a tribute to their greatness, me as lead singer...anybody interested?

Re: Song of the day

Nick Cave
O Children

I was coming back from work and started hearing the choir bit in my head. At first I had no idea what it was. I had to look through my CDs to realise that it was Nick Cave.

Strange because I hadn't listened to Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus for at least 2 years.

This song is for the great time I had last night with two very cool Canadians and a wonderful Spanish lady.

Re: Song of the day

Old theme from Madredeus «Ao longe o mar- The sea at a distance»

that brings «Saudade» the calmest song about the sea I ever heard
