Re: Song of the day

Nice vid of Shadow, he has some sweet music.

Here is a Drumb and Bass treat, one of the greatest tracks from Ltj Bukem and Mc Conrad "Western"

The video has nothing to do with the song but was the only vid I could find with this song.

Re: Song of the day

Zero 7......."in the waiting line" fantastic chill out track.

Nothing to do with DnB just love the track. I should have posted this a long time ago.

Re: Song of the day

darn, I missed the Day Of Powerful Lady Performers, apparently.

I posted this one before, and I will post it again, until I hear all of you sing in one voice 'Once I was a serene teenage child, once I felt your c**k against my thigh'.

No idea who he was until listening and using wikipedia, but for anyone else reading, I have to say Mogwai have produced some astonishing tracks, well worth a listen.

In a similar vein I give you "Godspeed you Black Emperor"

Productivity warning. For those who can't carry on working whilst listening, this is 10 mins long. Not my favourite track of theirs, but very melancholic and noisy in alternation.

On you tube there is also, dead flag blues which is much quieter.

How have I gotten through 8 pages without posting any Pavement...? Insanity.

Pavement - Spit on a Stranger

Whatever you feel, whatever it takes,
whenever it's real, whatever awaits me,
whatever your needs, however so slight,
wherever it leads, wherever it's right,

Honey I'm a prize, and you're a catch, and we're a perfect match...

Re: Song of the day

I just love the serendipitous delight of walking into a record shop, hearing something over the loudspeakers and saying 'I'll have this. Whatever it is.'

The best discovery ever being Sufjan Stevens' 'Seven Swans' in Andy's Records in Loughborough. The second best discovery being this, yesterday, in Musik Hug, Zurich HB:

I could mention Magnet, Hedningarna and various others, but I can't be bothered to look up the videos right now...

Re: Song of the day

It's all about the electric jug

This is why DanielL needs to get good at the harmonica, I can't do this without him

Taken from what I consider to be one of the most perfect albums of all time (Harvest) The video isn't great, but the tune more than makes up for it...

Neil Young - Out On The Weekend
