Love the cowgirl in this one, despite the brevity of her appearance ...

Nice pullover.
John Deacon never was one for grabbing the limelight.

Re: Song of the day

Listening to the Radio this morning and they mentioned Atilla the stockbroker - Hadnt heard that name for a while. So did a little search on youtube and ran across Martin Stephenson and the Daintees - another blast from the past. Realized that there's been many a time I've been humming his songs in my head, even though I havnt played his songs for a while now. Saw him at Wolverhamption Poly and maybe in Hull.

Re: Song of the day

Hey Chester, glad you like him too. There are not many songs in english as he is an Austria born musician, humourist (dark/morbid viennese style) etc. and apparently because (according to wiki) the production company did not want to release his songs as they were considered to be un-American.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Kreisler
I did not know him either until a friend in Vienna told me about him. What I posted are two different songs (not just different language). The english records are from his time in the US in the late 40s and the german song is from the record "Nichtarische Arien" from the late 60s.

This thread needs some rap music

Re: Song of the day

Oh this song, the voice.. a long time favorite..

barefoot, a long silk dress, a cool summer's night, swaying to the rhythm, eyes closed, all cares left behind in some forgotten place for the space of a melody..

Re: Song of the day

The video is meant to be a parody before anyone slates it; the music blisteringly good from Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson and Israeli musician Aviv Geffen, this is the first single from Blackfield's third album:

The new single from Rumer. It could possibly also have gone in The Cover Thread.

Re: Song of the day

A new single is being released by Kate Bush tomorrow. It is a rework of a 20-year old song, Deeper Understanding.
