rofl
definitely showing my age then........
Although, they reckon that musical decades don't necessarily begin at the beginning of the actual decade.
e.g. the 50s ended in 1962; the 60s began in 1963 etc.
Although if I was to use the same theory, I'd say the 80s began in 1982, so either way I'm wrong. |

My personal favourite from last nights set (plus of all of them, the one I was most crapping myself about playing, hence why it's only in brackets on the setlist ) |

Man I love the Wurzels It's impossible to live in Devon and not be infected by them
If I was going to do a cover though, it'd be "I Am A Cider Drinker" (to the tune of Una Paloma Blanca)

Recommended to me by a friend last night, looked them up today and they're as good as I was led to believe - originally released in 1980, not that I remember them from then..? (edit - apologies for the video quality, it really is about the best youtube has to offer for these guys...) Young Marble Giants - Brand New Life

Quality Devon two piece all girl singer songwriter duo, one plays 6 string guitar, the other plays 12 string, awesome sound imo. Worrydolls - Second Chance ...do I try to find my place, or has it faded from you...? |

Not quite as in your face...one of the most beautiful performances of one of the most beautiful songs ever. The fact that it can be played on the harmonium is what stopped me playing this on guitar, because it can never come close.
A song for anyone who has screwed up and needs to make an unreserved apology. Beck - Nobody's Fault But My Own |

If I could sing The Needle And The Damage Done, I'd play it every time...sadly, I'm some distance form being good enough...
Top tune. Good work |

OK - am posting this as a challenge to myself. I've chickened out of playing it for the past two Wednesdays at Mantra, so putting it here means I now have no choice - including the falsetto The Longpigs - On And On |

wow, I'm not the only person around who remembers The Longpigs then?!
Around the time they brought their first album out I was working at a music magazine and they used to send me their demos. I've got tons of their cds - all free :P
Personally, I prefer the cd singles to the album. The sound and the energy is not the same.
Anyhow, thanks Terry
Not an easy one to sing this.... Good luck to you
