Beautiful, so beautiful but sad, Professor.

In case there is someone who hasn't listened to this song for the 4577th time on the radio, here is something that brings a smile on my face...Yeah, "happiness is a truth".

Well, different songs can bring different smiles in different faces. The following song brings at least a smile into my face:

Re: Song of the day

This will be my last post in this thread. For me this was a test to see how people here in Europe are interested in such music post's the way I do it here. As here in Europe medias like Radio and TV have a far better reach to there consumers and customers, doing such a music thread is just some honey on the butter on the bread and most can live with out it. I run one of the biggest music threads in an other place in the world where many people do not have such possibilities. The response to this thread over there is not to compare to what happens here with all the many nice posts from all the members here who help to run this thread in this place. Over here the interest is very small compare to over there. So I will concentrate on my other thread, as I feel that people over there really have not the choices we have here in this luxury live we can do in Switzerland. My last posted link in this thread here will be the following I really love: http://vimeo.com/83187924 Take care and all the best / MT

Strange Little Girl cover by Tori Amos (damn I had a ginormous crush on her some years ago)... IMHO as good as the original

Re: Song of the day

I like Tori Amos. She does get a bit ott intense sometimes, but I like her intensity. Cat Power, PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple has done some interesting stuff..I like wild chicks.

Watch this, this is incredible, pull up the volume. I love marching bands, looking for one as it is. It is weird how minimalistic and majestic, hymnic she is, at the same time. Lovely Swedish eye candy.

Mountain Tree, don't stop..it gets quiet here, then not again, it depends. But sharing tunes is not always about giving thumbs up, loads of people listen without giving feedback, not having time or the same taste, it is ok.

I can't believe how old this song already is. This is mom's fav, btw, it's her travel tune. She is DJying today, hahah.

*BIG* Polly Jean fan here

And yeah - agree on the swedish eye candee bit. Sure beats the local guggen musicians (although it doesn't take that much, heh)
BTW the intro just reminded me of Steve Reich's "Tehillim" for some reason.

You should check Shannon Wright out, she's amazing.
Played a couple of times in Lausanne last year too, wow....

Not sure about the eye candy part though as you never actually see her face
