Re: Song of the day

More Roskilde anticipation - if the organisers have half a brain, these guys will be "warm ups" to Radioheads set, but I expect them to be on probably about 2pm on Friday....

Battles - Atlas (live on Later with Jools Holland...)

I REALLY LIKE the way they use the Cello on this piece. Brilliant! I expect this will start a cello trend.

Just because... think this is currently doing the rounds as an advert on british telly, can't remember what for though. Song itself is about 18 months old, and really rather good

Re: Song of the day

Bit of a blast from the indie past here - Silver Sun!

I give you the following offerings from one of the forgotten footsoliders of Britpop. I actually really liked them and still listen to their stuff. The first album was an awesome collection of Beach Boys style harmonising and summery pop. Saw them supporting Ash a few years ago and they were ace and it's a shame they were never more popular

Edit: They're still going by the looks of it, www.silversun.co.uk for more info

Anyways, enjoy!!

Lava (quality isn't great but this is the song that got me into them and it's rather catchy!)

Last Day

Golden Skin (shame about the talking in the video )

Re: Song of the day

Very good mate of mine Steve is in the new Paul Heaton vid :
(he's the one in the seat next to Paul oh, and he also plays guitar :P)

Haven't seen him with this lot on stage yet but they're supposed to be pretty good. They're doing most of the UK festivals this summer.

Last time I saw Steve he was bass player for The Fall..... They came to Lausanne. Haha, Mark E Smith in Lausanne..... I think they're still recovering...
