Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigtors - If this aint love
Produced last year surprisingly. Backing band are from Helsinki and are well revised on the northern soul sound. Wouldnt sound out place in the wigan casino in the late 70s. Album is called keep moving up and is a gem. VIDEO

I think Terry might have recommended this one to me in another thread, nice band, really nice song, especially for a Monday morning!

Re: Song of the day
Perhaps best known as a Vodafone advert, but still one of the greatest songs of the 90's for me.
Spacehog - In The Meantime ...we love the all, the all of you, lands are green, skies are blue, and after all, we're just like you, we love the all of you...
And as it always reminds me of this song, I'm posting two and the consequences be damned
Bush - Swallowed ...I'm with everyone, and yet not...
Two great UK bands of the 90's who had zero success over here, went to the States and were HUGE over there (so I'm told anyway). I understand the lead singer of Spacehog married Liv Tyler, and the singer from Bush married Gwen Stefani...nice work if you can get it

That's a great tune, never heard them before but they sounded a lot like these two to me so you might like them (if you don't already)

You just lost, you turned over your 2 Aces with The Eels and Ash but surely Black hole sun alone must be 3 of a kind

Re: Song of the day
Bit more up to date and a couple of great summer tunes to keep us in the mood for fun on the dark night...
OkGO - Get Over It ...oh it's such a drag, what a chore, all your wounds are full of salt, everythings a stress, and what's more, well it's all somebody's fault, hey get over it... Hot Hot Heat - Bandages ...I've been poking a voodoo doll that you did not know I made for you, of you, lets see what needles do...

Re: Song of the day
Hi Terry
Yes I agree, probably why I liked the song as I love Arcade Fire and Clap Your Hands - I suppose the question is are they a bit of a copy cat band? whatever I liked this song - will have a listen to some other stuff of theirs and see
