From «Balibo» soundtrack:«Hey Lord don't ask me questions» Dili Allstars

A film to be seen, a reality to be known, 6 heroes to remember apart from all the Timorese that suffered and died until their independence came.

Saw this Super Bock ad in the cinema in Lisbon last year, the song is The Story - Brandi Carlile. Pretty fine ad too.

Waters of March (Marisa Monte e David Byrne version)

Interesting song if you don't know it already http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waters_of_march

MTV video that is top of related links is better, but bad audio. Red Hot compilations are well worth looking into, and for charity.

Re: Song of the day

Thanks for the Local Natives track sambrightman. I really like them. Posted Airplanes a while back, great video.

Last night over dinner, New Order popped up on shuffle songs. At the end of the song my two year old, who had been quietly bopping along, shouted "Again! Louder!". Made me smile.

I absolutely love this song, too, though for me it has to be the version by Elis & Tom...

And then there is Alanis who everyone knows, but no one really knows, who writes songs from the heart that just rip into the soul:

Re: Song of the day

another version of "red right hand" for the movie "scream 3" with alternative lyrics and arrangements, less heathen, almost jazzy until the electric organ breaks in...
