Song of the day
OK so I thought since there are a lot of music fans here we could run a "Song of the Day" thread same as the Pic of the Day, Youtube of the Day etc,
I'll start with a song I first heard on Zane Lowe's show on Radio 1 a couple of years ago, bought the album as soon as it came out, and then lost it in Exeter when I moved here
This was probably my favourite song of 2006.
Scott Matthews - Elusive
Favourite lyrics;
"Something says this ain't right, there's more to her than meets the eye..."

Nice call on Scott Matthews, I really liked his song Passing Stranger.
Also Crabbucket Kaos, good call. Nice use of hit the road jack.

Here is a contender for song of the day. Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne singing to love somebody. Their voices sound like butter together.

Re: Song of the day
One word, amazing.
(would have only been one word if it wasn't shorter than 10 letters....)

I saw Amos Lee play live in London 3 years ago or so. Just found this live version of Seen It All Before.

Absolutely top class mate.
There's a full Damien Rice concert divx you can download called 'four seasons', you should have a root around for that, maybe there's a torrent somewhere (whatever that is
).

Re: Song of the day
He does an amazing version of The Blowers Daughter at the four seasons, he mixes into Creep by Radiohead and then back again. So good it makes my skin shiver.
Damien Rice = my hero

Here we go. I must say I fancy taking double bass lessons after listening to this.

Re: Song of the day
One last one from me and then I'm away...partly for the great riff, partly for the great opening lyrics, and partly for the great video.
I love this song
Beck - Deadweight On a highway, unpaved, going my way, you're so alone today, like a ghost town I've found there's no relief, no salt in the sea, is it true what they say, you can't behave, you gamble your soul away, measuring your dreams, oh this life seems like the gristle of loneliness....don't let the sun catch you crying...

Reason: added name of the song ;) - and corrected lyrics...

A powerful W C Handy Classic from me, a slow-burner whose initial lament doesn't betray what is to come ...

The second video is from Jason Mraz when he used to play live at Java Joes without a microphone and has a nice sound.
Its really nice..... brilliant voice really. Once the song gets into its stride, the guitar sounds alot like Aerosmith - Dream On.
