Peter | | | | | In spite of being a loyal iPhone user, I must admit that the new HTC with Windows Mobile 7 is pretty cool..

I don't want to buy iphone and pay monthy fees as I don't require all that. I hate Steve Jobs! | | | | | I've upgraded from an iTouch 3 to iTouch 4 yesterday - the new screen is stunning, as far as I'm aware it's the same as the iPhone. It's certainly a heck of an improvement on the old one. The cameras are not as good as the Phone's, but the whole thing is much sleeker and lighter, so that's to be expected.
You can get an app to such as Radiobox which will effectively turn it into a 30,000 station digital radio (over wifi), or otherwise download podcasts from radio stations or other sources on subjects of your choice.
(Hope this is ok, Castro - still on an 'iSomething' theme, and vaguely Phone-related in a compare and contrast way )
Edit: Just thought, does anyone know where to get iPhones/Pods protected, using Ghost Armor or something like that? Hubby had this fitted to my last iPod when he bought it in the US, and it's fantastic. I want it done professionally though, with the proper facility to heat it on, as I'm sure I'd just make a bodge of a DIY kit. Are there any electrical chains that do this sort of thing, or anywhere around Lausanne? Thanks.

All you'll hear (as I've found when trying the same strategy) is bad music and people who sound like farmers speaking 'german', either that or they are gurning whilst trying to cough up phlegm
Get yourself a WLAN/wifi radio at home, then you can listen to DeutscheWelle and DeutschlandFunk, where you'll have at least half a chance of understanding what's being said.

The broadcasts are half in English, half in German . . . music is indie-ish. It's a very good radio station. As for an Iphone radio app, I use TuneIn radio.

Same resolution but not same panel. TN panel Vs IPS panel. Did I say I think Jobs is a tit?

| | iPhone 5 coming soon
Hello I'm new to this forum and I'm thinking of moving to Zurich soon.
I have been with 02 for years in the UK and I'm currently out of contract which is handy.
I'v got a few questions regarding my iPhone and what would be the best thing to do for the future.
1. Would it be best to just arrive in Zurich and buy a local sim card? What kind of deals do they have locally? How much data download can you have?
2. What's the wifi access like in Switzerland? Is it free or do you pay?
3. If I wanted to have a contract who would be best to use? Will they give me a contract with no credit record locally or fixed permanent address. The new iPhone 5 will be out this summer. I could get one with 02 and would have to sign for a two year deal. The phone would be free.
Some general help and guidance on all this would be great. This post on the forum was done on a iPhone native app. Which is so handy. You got to love technology.
Thank you all.
