Re: The iPhone 3G thread and FAQ

Does anyone know whether a new version iphone bought from the US (and unlocked) would work with a Migros prepaid SIM ?

WAN price seems to be SFR 0.40/min - is this reasonable? and would sms etc work normally?

Thanks!

There's no unlock for the 3G iPhone so far - but once it becomes available it'd probably work on Migros as well. Do they have a data plan?

There's still the issue of not being able to buy an iPhone in the states without signing a contract, though?

Re: The iPhone 3G thread and FAQ

Their website refers to a 'WAP' connection, I'm not too technical though and am not sure if that translates to data services..

It only jailbreaks it, it doesn't unlock it.

not true, bought two in the US (16GB, 533USD each)with no contract but you have to run a crack over it to make it work with your network in CH/wherever.

Re: The iPhone 3G thread and FAQ

Hey,

I'm thinking of buying an iPhone with Swisscom. I just used my Uncle's (on AT&T in the states) and it's really great. However, I'm a bit concerned that 1GB/month won't be enough, and the whole up to 5 francs a day will get expensive. Can anyone offer some insight onto this? I will be browsing say...45 minutes a day with a video here and there. Do you think the 1GB will last me the month?

Thanks.

simply check page before. me 8GB black ordered for SEPTEMBER (with no guarantee getting it before november ) the 16GB black is pre-ordered massively. if you want the white cover one there is a better chance getting it quicker, even better if you want the 8GB in white cover-> thats all for Swisscom. the shop staff said, its Apples fault. request is high, delivery slow. they dont have so much sent, in stock somehow for switzerland...
