I apologise if this has been answered in one of the other 1258 posts (!), but has anyone recommended a good set of headphones with inline microphone (i.e. a higher quality version of the phones that come with), possibly with volume function as well as the pause/play/skip one.
Thanks,
Brett

Thanks,
Brett | | | | | I've been looking for the same thing, and at a reasonable price as I would expect them to break in less than 2 years as usual.
I was about to buy the Griffin Tunebuds Mobile but then Apple announced its own in-ear headphones set, so I'm now waiting for it to be released and reviewed before making a decision.

Cool, did you find them in Zurich (or a chain store in Emmenbrücke that has an outlet in Zurich?) as when i visited the Apple store, they had only the normal apple ones.

Sometime ago I set my email account on iPhone 3G from www.webmail.co.za which had worked well for a while with incoming server POP: pop3.webmail.co.za
and outgoing server SMTP. mail.bluewin.ch
Recently I have realized that the SMTP server does not respond giving me notorious error cannot find the server.
Today, I went to Swisscom shop in Baden to clarify this problem however people were not able to help me. Basically I need to know which settings will work with any account?
In case of Yahoo there is not such problem because the settings get automatically reconized by iPone 3G!
Any take on it?

at the screen which shows all your sms, swipe sideways on the contact and a delete sign will pop up.

I'm using senheiser cx-400 with my ipod and I bought Senhesier mm50-ip .
It is same range in-ear headphone with integrated microphone. Audio quality is nice as CX-400 ( bass sounds are a bit weak though ) and button on microphone allows you to answer/end calls, play/stop music track , while playing music double click skips next track, triple click plays previous track but no volume control.
I bough it from interdiscount for 89.90 CHF ( manor sells for same price too ) . I also saw them in Orange shop for 99.00 but if you are not in hurry www.toppreise.ch is best | Quote: | | | | | I apologise if this has been answered in one of the other 1258 posts (!), but has anyone recommended a good set of headphones with inline microphone (i.e. a higher quality version of the phones that come with), possibly with volume function as well as the pause/play/skip one.

Any suggestion for ''good'' English-German dictionary running as iPhone application. I mean here something similar to online www.leo.org?

One thing that's bugging me, is it possible to call a contact directly from the SMS application? It seems that when I get a text, and just want to call that person back, I have to exit SMS and go search for the contact, is there another way?

the iphone lists your messages with one recipient in one window as if a chat, right? scroll to the top of the chat and there is a button to "Call".
hows that?

I see that phonehouse are offering the iphone for CHF 519 with no contract but locked to Swisscom for 24months, ie the very least you need is a pre paid card. So, does anyone know how easy and how much is it to unlock these iphones? Because 519 francs seems quite reasonable eh
I apologise if this has already been asked but trawling though 40+ pages is hard going.

Did anyone else's little "silent mode" switch on their iphone snap off one week after getting their fancy 3G iPhone? Mine did, and I wasn't best pleased.
However it wasnt a total disaster as I took it back to the Orange shop who sent it to Apple for repair, gave me a replacement handset (nokia) until it was fixed, and one week later I got a completely new iPhone.
I'll let you know when the new one breaks |

If you buy a 3G then expect to be tied to your service provider for a while longer...

My power brick stopped working... well, I don't think it ever worked. I'm using my larger ipod brick at the mo until I can face the queues in the Orange shop. There was a recall for the bricks in somewhere like Mexico... perhaps I should emigrate |
