Do whatever you want in this thread, just don't mention quantum mechanics or wave functions or anything scientific.
I guess you should add "energy" to the list

Oh well, why I'm not surprised by some of these answers.......

not surprised by your answer, canadian_dude... Why would I do prove to you those things.

Well quantum mechanics... they could finally find something in the future.....

wave... it's a vibration that's moving, right ?

scientists ? nice guys, but a bit narrow minded by their sciences and dogma
well some are more open-minded, hopefully...

Re: Sprituality/Esoteric/Healing Energies Thread

I believe that when we become aware that the journey is temporary we tend to reach out for the spiritual. It is a need that answers our questions regarding our inevitable mortality and the hope that the soul really will live on ?

It's when we are fragile that we turn to spiritual, but we're not all at the same stage. My point being, the answers to this post simply reflect the different levels of sensitivity to a fundamental question regarding the soul.

When people are ill or are caring for those who are, they need more that just our average daily material life.

So we make up some rubbish to make them feel better. Sweet.

There is a lovely trap in this post: if you don't believe this stuff then you are underdeveloped. The idea that it could be plain wrong is unthinkable.

But don't worry about me and all that dull rational stuff. I'm leaving now. Have fun!

It's just as arrogant to flatly refuse the possibility of an afterlife or anything supernatural existing, as it is to proclaim it's true and that anyone who doesn't believe it is a close-minded idiot.

Personally i'm an evolution man, not even remotely religious, and I think 99% of thes"piritualpowers" mumbo jumbo is complete nonsense... but I still don't discount the possibility, however remote, of there being something else out there after death. Until someone out there comes up with some definitive proof to the contrary it's impossible to say otherwise, and any opinion either way, no matter what scientific or spiritual theories it's backed by, is subjective. Hell, even many credible scientists don't discount it and have run some experiments, that while are of course inconclusive, have yielded some interesting results.

I would never think a person is underdeveloped because they have a different opinion. I enjoy different opinions, they make me think, and try and see what the other guy's thinking about. People are fascinating creatures ! I could be wrong, there could be nothing afterwards, I just certainly hope there is something. Wouldn't it be nice if this life was just the rehearsal ?

This thread is a bit old, but English Forum, which is a wonderful source of information is paradoxically anemic when it comes to these kind of topics, unless I'm terrible at using search.. which I probably am. Can anyone point me to a forum in English perhaps where like minded people are in CH. Cheers.

Well.... Some of the ol'foggies are still around

I'd say that I've certainly encountered mystical events in my own life that have erased any doubt I may have had in regards to spirituality.
It still surprises me and I've simply come to accept it as something I can not explain.

There's more than we can know or understand. It's full of surprise and possibilities, just around us, things you see from the corner of the eye or that moves within a blink.

and if it's a statue, run for your life

(I'm very interested by these things)

Suisse- Romand - As you are in Vaud have you been up to the Peace stone on top of the Chasseron near to Les Rasses?
You place your hands on it and you really feel the energies go through your body.
The bovis scale is equivalant to the Cathedral readings at Chartres in France.

Re: Sprituality/Esoteric/Healing Energies Thread

Underdeveloped? No, close minded, probably. Especially with the technological advances in the last century. Many things in the past which used to be unimaginable are common place today. It's easier to imagine or believe some of the new theories of who we are, where we came from, our purpose in life, what happens after we die... etc. I for one can not see auras, have never had an after death experience, have never seen a ghost, can't talk to the dead or anything like that (I wish I could be stronger spiritually)... I know there are many unexplained things in our world and many people who've experienced amazing things. I've heard some unbelievable stories on the Coast 2 Coast radio show uploaded every day at this channel... If you want to hear another perspective to the norm, I suggest you follow it. Makes you really think

[QUOTE=Sky;561492]I would never think a person is underdeveloped because they have a different opinion.[/QUOTE

That's exactly the point (in my opinion ;-)
Some years ago I had a completely different outlook on life. At best I woud smile at all the esoteric mumbo-jumbo. What changed it? I stumbled across the books of Seth, Abraham Hicks, Bashar, Kryon etc. and I started resonating very strongly with their teachings/explanations of who we really are and why we came forth into this life experience. Abraham Hicks (there's a fair number of YouTubes on their live channelings through Esther Hicks) in particular are an absolutely fascinating teaching entity. Not a single energy consciousness, but many.
Their book "A New Beginning" was a revelation for me. Bottom line is: we create (literally) our life experience ouerselves, step by step through feelings and expectations. No exeptions! And there is no right or wrong. Every human being is right on its way and is right where he/she stands in his/her opinion. All is well, it just depends on how you look at it.
My 2 Cents on this topic.
