| | Switzerland comes to England
As I cannot get over to Switzerland as often as I would like, they are kindly bringing it over here for me. | Quote: | | | | On Wednessday 30 October and Thursday 1 November, Switzerland Tourism, Swiss International Air Lines and their partners will host the "Swiss Extravaganza" at Broadgate Circle, London EC2.
During the two-day event, visitors can sample delicious Swiss specialities and receive answers to all their winter snow sport queries. Switzerland Tourism will help visitors choose the right ski resort, while Warren Smith and his Ski Academy Team will have the answer on all your ski related questions, whether it's confidence building, ski carving or ski techniques. | | | | | Details
Well , it is probably not just for my benefit, but I will certainly pop along |

A mini Switzerland in London. Filling up on raclette, nusstorte and Cailler chocolate. That cannot be too bad. 'Eddie the Eagle' Edwards was here yesterday. Might try the snow tube in a while

Swiss Tourism are setting up another marketing campaign in London. For the whole of April they have events going on at Harrods. Perhaps that gives an indication of the sort of person they are trying to attract.
I notice that they are not doing a similar promotion at Lidl or Aldi.
If you have friends or family in London who may be visiting you in the near future, it could be worth a visit to Harrods. Among the giveaways are travel upgrades. More details |

If anyone has family or friends visiting them in Switzerland it may be cost effective for you to all fly on Easyjet to London, go to Harrods, and have your Swiss meal there, and then fly back here.

I did manage to get a couple of vouchers for an upgrade to 1st Class for my Swiss Pass.

Anybody remembers Ye Olde days of the Swiss Centre in Leicester Square?
Wonder if the Swiss butcher still exists - in a street behind Tottenham Court Road?
