Re: YouTube of the Day

Not on youtube, but such beautiful to watch

During the month of May, I shot Milky Way timelapse in central South Dakota, when I had the time, and the weather cooperated. The biggest challenge was cloudy nights and the wind. There were very few nights, when I could shoot, that were perfectly clear, and often the wind was blowing 25mph +. That made it hard to get the shots I wanted. I kept most of the shots low to the ground, so the wind wouldn't catch the setup and cause camera shake, or blow it over. I used a Stage Zero Dolly on the dolly shots and a "Milapse" mount on the panning ones.

This was all shot at night. If you see stars and it looks like daylight, it is actually moon light. 20+ second exposures make it look like daylight.

Re: YouTube of the Day

Just found this interesting story : AKB48

If you are a fan of AKB48 and know who Eguchi Aimi is, than jump through this article and watch the video. Otherwise, stick around and learn about this computer generated pop star and her path to Internet fame.

AKB48 Created as a publicity stunt, Eguchi Aimi is made up of all the "real" members of AKB48 -- her eyes are taken from one member, her nose from another, etc. etc. The band's management team tricked the public (and the band's fans) by convincing them that Aimi was a real person.

Eguchi even had a blog, where she wrote that her hobbies included becoming an idol at the level of the rest of her AKB sisters. But as clever fans figured out, she's not real at all.

Spot on re the Tube!! It reminds of me of a time when I was standing on the tube, teetering on the very edge as it was so packed, when a guy holding a very large holdall ran up. He looked at all of us sardines and took a huge swing with his bag as if to launch himself inside, whereupon we all recoiled in horror ... only for him to jump back laughing!! Very funny.

LOL...The Royal Bank of 'Ah Shit'...been there! Why don't the Scots use Whisky for currency? And the whole bit of 'I'm from London', 'Whereabouts?' as when I lived in London for years I used to get that all the time...funny!

Well done skit, though it's funny it's set at the Apollo.
