Transfer from London City Airport to Gatwick

Is this transfer difficult or costly or both?

Thanks

Re: Transfer from London City Airport to Gatwick

City Airport - DLR to Canning Town (10mins)
Canning Town - Jubilee to London Bridge (15mins)
London Bridge - Train to Gatwick (30mins)

not sure about the train fare but you can do DLR and Jubilee for a fiver probably. total fare probably about 15-20 (the train fair is 12 I think)

I use the DLR to London Bridge and then train from there into LGW. About an hour overall. Not expensive. Victoria is a faster express train but is a lot more expoensive and the extra time it takes to get to Victoria offsets the time you gain on the faster train. One warning though, only the Victoria train runs all through the night.

If you are carrying lots of baggage yes. You are going to have to walk a fair bit, and up and down stairs. If you are doing it in rush hour you are a lunatic.
Victoria only has stairs up from the underground as I remember. Lot of them too.

Will it be costly - yes. London Underground put their prices up so if you don't have an oyster card you will be paying a fair wack. 4 pounds for a 1 way 1 zone trip if I remember correctly.
The Gatwick express from Victoria, used to be about 15quid 1 way.
