Re: Movie recommendations

From an advance screening in the states recently, Inception, Christopher Nolan's new film starring Leonardo Di Caprio is getting excellent reviews. It's being released here on July 21st.

Re: Movie recommendations

I recently watched "Love the Beast" which is a documentary by Eric Bana about his car the Ford Falcon.

Good if you are a bit of a petrol head.

Re: Movie recommendations

I saw the new A-Team recently and thought it was ok for a tv remake. Miles better the the awful Starsky and Hutch but that wasn't hard.

Sharlto Copley is great as Murdoch.

Quite funny in places, good action and and and a plot.

I CANNOT wait for the A Team movie! Saw the trailer and it looks really good!

Saw the Karate Kid recently, starring Jackie Chan and Will Smith's kid. Cute as a button and pretty talented. Jackie Chan still kicks arse with his great stunts. Great movie if you just want to sit back and be entertained.

Inception. Wow.

Probably one of the most exhilarating and though-provoking film experiences of my life. This movie works on multiple mental, emotional, visceral, and temporal wavelengths. It's so epic, but takes place entirely within the confines of the mind.

I wouldn't take your "I didn't get it, it sucked!" friends to see it, but those looking for a movie that gives you something to chew on (with some incredible visuals to boot), Inception is the film of the summer.

Came out in the French part yesterday. Still almost a week after the US. I've been avoiding spoilers like crazy and was glad I did.

Could it have something to do with this scene?

I liked "In Bruges" too.

However I still don't understand why they cast Ralph Fiennes in that part. (Despite Fiennes being good) That role should have gone to Vinnie Jones, surely?

My guess is, they wanted an actual good actor.

Nah, I don't like light blue.

It doesn't have anything to do with Daniel Craig really.
Even though I truly enjoy the interaction between him and Vesper.

I'm terribly captured and drawn to Le Chiffre though.

I have tried watching Lars Von Trier stuff and have given up after a few minutes.

IMO it is just Arty-Farty rubbish...And I don't mean that his films are too intellectual, I like films that make you thing. His films just seem to be too "clever" for their own good.

Now I avoid his films like the plague.
which movies have you seen?

But why is it called the "Karate Kid" when they are using Kung Fu?
