Came out in the French part yesterday. Still almost a week after the US. I've been avoiding spoilers like crazy and was glad I did.
Lucky for you... I thought movies will be released at same day all over switzerland

Pathe-Dietlikon hasn't yet opened online tickets for Inception on 29th...

They are never full, just go half an hour before screening and you are set.
Agree about waiting an extra week though

Saw it in Lausanne last night: it was extraordinary. I am so not a DiCaprio fan but I have to bow to him for this performance.

I also avoided the spoilers - they, well... would have spoilt it for me. Wait to see the film in toto if you can.

In all movie theatres in the German part of Switzerland, normally. Show times should be up in a day or two.

Re: Movie recommendations

For some mindless french fun:

Hors de Prix; and
Mes Stars et Moi

are both light and entertaining. I saw them both on a flight which helped to pass the time.

Re: Movie recommendations

Just saw "Inception" and found it to be...dare I say it...a little bit silly.

If humans had those sort of powers would they really be using them to go round shooting at "people" with machine-guns??? Beggars belief!

Another thing that bothered me was that a lot of the film is taken up by the characters explaining how their strange world works. Which is less time to actually tell a proper story.

It definetly isn't boring but I would rate it as a sub-Matrix. 6/10

Re: Movie recommendations

Inception was incredible yesterday night! I love a movie that makes us think.

It was cool, just like Matrix. It’s as if someone went into our heads while we were sleeping and planted the idea that we can create our own reality.

Somehow we can make the reality be what we want it to be, as in a lucid dream.

You're waiting for a train. A train that will take you far away. You know where you hope the train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter because we'll be together.

Re: Movie recommendations

Just came across this trailer. Touted as Canada's answer to "Shawn of the Dead", I have to say, it looks promising.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Unfortunately, I can't find a local release date, though it seems to have been doing the rounds of the film festivals since January.
