I've been following the saga for ages, I'm sure it hasn't been out for 6 months, hence why people have been using dodgy SIM cards.

Do you mean jailbreak?

The unlock for 4.10.01 has been out for 6months or so now. It works great, just whatever you do don't upgrade past that Firmware unless your using TinyUmbrella or you will lose your unlock... I would actually recommend you to download TinyUmbrella now to save your SHSH blobs, so if you ever do upgrade you can keep your BB (or downgrade your firmware) and therefor maintain your unlock.

Here's how to do so: http://www.callingallgeeks.org/how-t...-4-shsh-blobs/
No way, a lot of people were waiting for this unlock since October 2010! Do you know the difference between JB and unlock or baseband and firmware?

I see Ultrasn0w have finally cracked the iPhone 4 unlock, just in time for me to go to the UK this weekend.

Will have a try tonight, anyone done it yet?

Cheers

Ps - quite ironic as I got my phone bill last night, 210 chuffs for roaming :-(.
Do you have the link for the download, I want to try it as well?

Re: iPhone 4 unlock 04.10.01

Take note of your BB and Firmware on your iPhone Settings>General>About... Then go to www.iClarified.com and on the upper left hand corner click Unlock in the red circle and it will walk you through the process and let you know if your phone is unlockable. Good luck, but chances are if you have synced/upgraded your iPhone/firmware in the last 8 months you are out of luck.

Re: iPhone 4 unlock 04.10.01

My BB is 02.10.04 and I'm looking for the unlock for 9-10 months. I never upgraded my BB (it was this BB when I bought it), I always do the FW upgrade with keeping my BB at 02.10.04 with tiny umbrella, but there was no unlock for this baseband as well as 03 and 04 series until now / 1 week ago.

Let's see what will happen now.

@Country Mouse: Will you let me know the result of you trial?
Thanks,

hi guys.

so I jailbroke my phone last night using snowbreeze.

then I unlocked the phone using ultrasn0w.

still doesn't work with my UK SIM, but works with another SIM. had a look at some forums and looks like it's a common problem, need to restart a few times and play with network settings and should work fine.

unfortunately ran out of time, will finish tonight.

the process I followed makes a full backup if you want to revert to standard settings pre jailbrake

cheers

I'm not asking the Baseband, the Firmware.
Are you on 4.3.3?

Nope, couldn't get it to unlock.

Not sure if it's because it's on 4.3.3, managed to unlock my girlfriends and will use hers when travelling.

I used Ultrasn0w. The advantages are you no longer pay for anything. free TomTom was the best cost saver, bit also free books, app's etc
