Strange product / marketing?

I found this site http://freedomtray.com/ via Stephen Fry's twitter (http://twitter.com/stephenfry) today and can decide if it is a joke or real!?

Not just the product but the marketing implcation that because it uses the word "freedom" it has something to do with American values, rather than being just a piece of plastic .

Good marketing I suppose though, it got the attention of the world's most followed Tweeter and found millions of people as a result.

Nothing says freedom more than Nachos, Fries and 3 Sodas. I'm going to buy one. How much will Swiss Post ding us for customs?

Re: Strange product / marketing?

Looks like a weird item that would go over well in certain circles back in the states. And legit, scarily enough!

A TV tray with shorter legs and the word "Freedom" on it. I've been looking for something like this to put my daily 3 cups of coke, large bags of fries and a scrumptious hamburger on while driving and eating.

Nachos is Mexican food. It isn't included in my freedom food list.

After NAFTA, even the Mexicans and Canadians can enjoy freedom.

Re: Strange product / marketing?

As a marketer, I believe they really need to extend their line and offer "freedom XXL" for those in the target group who enjoyed a lot of freedom in their life already...

God Bless America.

On another note, I read that the Opera House in Houston had to reduce it's seating capacity from 3,300 to 2,200 because of the need for wider seats. The NEED!

American cars can't go around corners, so no need to worry.

Ok, so than we need to think about other, more emotional and exciting special editions. How about a confederate color scheme, Freedom Tray Dixie (TM)?

Uncle Max, can you tell us where you got that info from? Not that I question your reliability, let alone the credibility of the fact, but I'd like to see the source. I tried to google it, to no avail.

They've actually been considered Tex-Mex for decades, and as such are enjoyed throughout the U.S. and beyond — including Switzerland.

Oh..ok. In this case we allow nachos to be blessed by god as well and include them into freedom

Apologies, it was the Dallas Opera House

The Norman Foster pratice who designed the place started with a figure of 3,300 but after research reduced to 2,200 because, according to Private Eye - subscription needed for the article - "the opera going bottoms that would fill them [the seats] are broader than they used to be".

Everything in Texas is bigger, apparently...
