new on the list: Dexter and Dirt.
Dexter features Michael C. Hall of Six Feet Under fame and is almost as dark. It's on FX.
Dirt features Courteney Cox as a ruthless and manipulative gossip magazine editor. Possibly the highlight of the show is the excellent Ian Hart as Don Konkey It's on Five US.
Another vote for Dexter - have started to watch this recently and it's great. Will have to check out 'Dirt'.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I'll third Dexter - stayed up way too late last January watching the final 4 eps of Season 1.

Season 2 starts in the US on Showtime at the end of September, but the first two episodes have already been leaked. Some details (spoiler alert!) at http://denofgeek.net-genie.co.uk/tel...er_leaked.html

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I like "Las Vegas" with James Caan and Josh Duhamel.
I used to be addicted to some series but now I'm not.
"Delta" on 3sat is a good one, too.
"Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten" is sometimes cute, too .

I liked curb your enthusiasm but since about a couple of episodes into season 3 it just got so rediculous that i couldnt find it funny anymore.

i also like entourage a lot.... just relaxing... not that much happens, just hanging with that crew, and a load of pretty amazing cameos, wow! but again, halfway through season 3 it has started to lose its steam. up til then though, its pretty awesome... Ari Gold is the most quotable guy this year, hahahaha.... on passing an erratically driving ethnic oriental.... "they drive like that in tianamen square, bitch...????!!!" hahaha.

you should check it out.

krlock3
Couldnt agree more about Ari Gold almost single handedly making that show as popular as it is. Although I am a huge Johnny Drama fan...

As far as curb, I would agree that is has got more and more absurd as the seasons come out, but I must say I still think the writing and the acting was hilarious nonetheless...But how bout the season 5 finale? That was by far the most absurd

The West Wing was superb from start to finish, absolutely the best thing on TV IMHO.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

another goodie - Jericho. Downloaded the series after missing the first few; it's not bad.

For those who missed Weeds on SkyOne, it begins again at 01:50 local time next Tuesday morning. Sky+ then!!

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

Well coming to conversation a bit late...

Has any one seen Entourage? It is something I discovered very late (a side effect when you live in North Pakistan for more than a year). Great series. It is fun and easy to watch. Great mindless entertainment. Perfect for after long day of work. When you want to veggie in front of the square box.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I hear Weeds is coming to SkyOne with season 2 in early August.

Thanks for the groan, Pete. You're suggesting I'm wrong to think that someone might read the thread before replying (don't answer, it's rhetorical).

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

Weeds is also available on DVD... I think up to 3rd season. Not so sure since I was living up in the mountains of Pakistan. But even then, I managed to get the copies of the series. I am just saying in case you do not want to wait.

As for the scroll up function. I did not think it was offensive or a big deal. So people you can cool it.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I am an addict of Grey`s Anatomie, Monday Evening when I watch it at sf2 is my highlight of the week!!! I think it makes it even more hilarious that I have a week to talk it through with friends and try to find out what could happen next.

24: I watched all the series1-4, now I am stuck at the 5th series and , sad to say it, it gets boring.... always the same, Jack Bauer the hero and all the others suck.... and so on
