The BBC? Isn't that mainstream media?

Anyway, to keep the thread on topic, I used to be addicted to Black Books and Spaced. Then I bought the DVDs.

Life on Mars, too, which was fantastic. Not seen the sequel, though.

Definitely Life on Mars - saw episode 1 on a flight back from the Middle East earlier this year -liked it so much I watched straight over again. A friend gave me Series 1 as he got bored with it, I watched all of that in a week and then ordered series II from Amazon which arrived last night and I watched the first episode. A great series for those entering mid life crisis age bands - at the end of episode 1 of series II there's a moment where Sam is watching a little "message" arriving on the TV - the same model of TV that we had at home when I was a kid. Nostalgia City

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

Well, this must be slightly off the track ...
I am not sure how many of you guys watch South Park, I like that too much, good comedy stuff. Plus its short and not a series so can watch any episode anytime.
Dennis.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

Invasion was amazing! Really exciting for the whole family. I was really sorry to hear that there would be no season 2. It happens a lot with some really good shows.

Other favorites:
Lost
House MD
Gray's Anatomy (love all medical shows!)
Boston Legal

As I don't have sky and just BBC prime , this week I have been watching an old tv mini series - The Thorn Birds on DVD - it is absolutely wonderful. Would recommend it if you see it for sale

Depending on your VCR / DVD player, SF1, SF2, TSR1, TSR2, TSI1, & TSI2 all come in dual language, for most movies. Last night on SF2 they played Harry Potter Goblet of Fire, and MIB2. All you have to do is choose which speaker it plays on and you can choose German, or original language. In the afternoons TSR2 has some series on, i dont think TSI plays Gilmore Girls anymore though

By the way, if Desperate Housewives comes on those stations (which it does i just forget when), it is in dual language, but only if you have a VCR/DVD player with the option.

If you have a stereo TV it most probably supports dual languages on its own. No VCR/DVD needed. Mine is intelligent enough to remember what setting I used last time on each channel and will switch automatically when it detects that a dual language signal is being broadcast.

I'd always though of Desperate Housewives as just another soap and had ignored it until earlier this year. Absolutely hilarious - it has me in stitches!

Indeed. And one for tonight - the 2005 version of the Legend of Zorro @ 21:05 on TSI1, in dual Italian/English (off topic I know, but there's some seriously miserable weather out there).
