Re: TV Series discussed

Did anybody watch the latest Big Bang Theory (Airdate: Feb 8th)? The title is "Large Hadron Collision" and most of the show is about Leonard's trip to Switzerland to visit the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva!
Sheldon even mentions "Räbeliechtli" at one point.

MHO, definitely worth a download or buy

Recently just finished watching The Wire and The Shield. Two of the best TV series I have ever seen, simply epic.

Give it a try. In a million years I never thought I'd enjoy a show like it, but people told me to trust them on this one, and they were right.

It's like junk food made by a gourmet chef. Who just happens to be sexist.
I tried Glee and honestly didnt like it. Gave up halfway. Another series that I have given up on is Heroes. Lost my patience around half way in Season 5.

Cant wait for True Blood to come back!

I watched Married Single Other last week and have to say it was pretty awful. Not well written and average acting. And anything with a precocious kid in it is always annoying.

British TV has been pretty lean as far as good series go. I'd love to see something as good as BBC's This Life (from back in the mid 90s). Loved that series.

Sorry if this is kinda too American but I'm partial to a bit of Fringe and Dexter. Worth watching if you can find em online.

Yes, I love Dexter too. So funny. Loved the series with Jimmy Smits (was it the 3rd?).

My current favourite though has to be Mad Men. Took me a while to get into the first series but now I love everything about it. Such great writing.

Haha yeah I can't decide what I think of it. I can't tell what the story line really is.. it seems to be one of those; and then this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened.. rather than having an actually story.

I do sadly find myself starting to.. care.. about what happens though! So maybe I do like it..

Yep on March 18th

I found the first episod and the concept really great, then it kind of lost itself with all these episods where they express how they feel about it without anything happening. Hopefully the new episods will be more exciting(they had time enough to have good script). These breaks are just so frustrating

Re: TV Series discussed

I thought series 2 of Being Human, which concluded this weekend on the BBC, was really good. It's dark, it's funny, good production values, good characters and plot development. The full deal.
