A Town called Eureka
new fave. Nice show
It's not bad - nice and easy going and decent light entertainment. It's on my series link in Sky+

Trivial factoid: It's called 'Eureka' in the States but apparently there was a show called that on TV in the UK already, so they had to do a bit of renaming.

By the way, check out Media Markt for Battlestar Galactica (the reimagined version) season 1 boxsets. 4 discs, 13 episodes. They are doing them for 50CHF. Excellent picture quality and full 5.1 sound - the only thing is that the DVD menus and opening credits are in German. Naturally there are selectable English sound and subtitles. Bargain.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

Wow all those exciting series, and I seem to be the only boring one that was really seriously addicted to East Enders.I used to get quite upset if I missed it when it was shown on prime in the evenings at seven.
Now bbc prime has changed the program line up so I have been cured of it.
I find that most series I can miss them and pick up again ,east enders was the only one I really wanted to follow every one.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I got really into Scrubs and think it is the best comedy on tv. just bought the 4th season boxset now
24 I think has the be the most exciting thing on tv. i just finished series 5 and had to walk away from my laptop and times it was getting so intense
Another good comedy is "thats 70's show".
I really want to watch prison break as i've heard its excellent too.
The sopranos is always very addictive too.

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

I actually think they could do 24 now in about 2 hours. Repeating simple facts for certain audiences to catch onto is very necessary. Some elements of Jack's actions are predictable (yes, he will disobey). At least they killed his wife, Michelle, Tony - only Kim left. Even David (David, David) got killed. Heck, they even killed the tubby IT guy after killing his Mom off in the show....

Re: Are you addicted to a TV series?

By far the best series I have seen is "Spaced". Its a comic masterpiece with Simon Pegg (of Shaun of the Dead) covering some mundane issues with a really bizarre take.
Get the DVD.

Hi Lob

Ok I agree with you that they are repeating some elements now and the summary at the start of each episode really bugs me now but no way could this be shortened to even half the time (i'm guessing you were exaggerating with 2 hours )
There are so many twists and turns that you never really no where the show will end up until....the end.
Season 6 is apparently already to go for Autumn in the US. Lets see how Jack gets on with his chinese captors

It screens in the US on Monday evenings - you can google for the episode schedule. No idea about when it screens on sky, etc.
