Feck, you mean on TV in the USA. Damn I was hoping it was going to be on UK TV.
Given the demand and popularity, it will probably premiere in the UK the same week or a week after - like Gossip Girl. Alternatively, most of us get it the day after it airs in the US with the help of very good mates.

Sneak peek of Season 4 from HBO:

Cant.wait.

@porsch, I havent finished watching GOT yet - savouring it slowly. But I somehow guessed that those 3 eggs are not purely ornamental!

Did anyone follow "Wire in the blood"? It was one of my favorite crime shows, a pity that there hasn't been a new season since 2008.
Was that the one with Robson whatever-his-last-name-is? If so, then I did watch it a couple of times and enjoyed those episodes.

However, if you're watching "Made in Chelsea" then we can discuss that.

Since denouncing it as "utter tosh" a while ago, somehow I'm-a-starting to get sucked into it even though the - er - acting is really quite dire. Just love the way they all sound the same - especially the girlies - and say "like" every other word. It's so bad, it's good!

Yes, Robson Green being the interestingly strange psychologist-something.

I don't follow any tv show at the moment. True Blood started to suck badly during the second season when the story line changed completely from the book. Why is Sookie still with Bill? She and Eric are meant to be! Also Criminal Minds and House,MD get boring after 10 seasons.

I'll just dig out all the old Friends and Sex and the City shows. Things aren't what they used to be.

At least I got Robo's first name right. Me ole memory ain't soooooo bad after all.

I never got into Friends or SatC even when they were new and all the rage. Too late now!

I drift in and outta True Blood. Agree with you on Sookie and Bill. She's got him in real life anyways (if they're still together that is). That should be more than enough methinks!

Back on The Tudors again. Caught a re-run very late last night/early this AM on TV and will be tuning in again for tonight's episode. Yeah!

I have not read th ebooks so did not know Sookie should not be with Bill, he is a bit of a wimp anyway. I would much rather be with Eric!

The Tudors is my bag at the moment, just on series 1 but really getting into it.

The Tudors is absolutely brill and worth losing beauty () sleep over. I hope they are going to show an episode every night.

I missed quite a lot of the first series and got heavily into it later on, so it's good seeing those episodes I've not seen before.

Dontcha just love the costumes? Well the ladies ones anyways.

Some of the clothes on SATC make me cringe how. What were they thinking?

I get my fashion fix from Gossip Girl now - shallow, mindless, bitchy and oh-so-entertaining.

I still love Criminal Minds and Jonathan Rhys Meyers...sorry, I meant to say, the Tudors.

Did anyone see "Pillars of the Earth"? Opinions? I've "acquired" the entire series and was just wondering if it's worth settling down to watch.

Re: TV Series discussed

Just watched the first episode premiere of Falling SKies, and all I can say is... epic meh. Seriously, I love sci-fi to death, I watch it all with glee, good or bad... and this is so far pretty chuffing average.

It is typical, near-template Spielberg mush... you could take 90% of the dialogue out of any usual cheesy, corny war movie and apply it here. Mix this in with diabolically unrealistic and over-the-top scenes of family love and shared compassion from groups of supposedly harrowed groups of people whose hair looks washed, styled and volumised, with clothes for the most part clean and pressed, and after half an hour you have the slight taste of sick in your mouth as a wee bit crawls up from your stomach. You have your tough-talking commanders with a soft spot who reel off the standard heroic lines, your whiney young kids who want things to be back the way they were, and the headstrong teens who let reason fly out of the window and put peoples lives at risk because, well, they feel like it. Add to this a startling propensity for dodging uber-advanced alien targetting scanners and weapons, and it all starts to fall into place. I could name about 3 forehead-slapping moment thus far.

I will of course keep watching, but if this is how it is going to deal with the whole survivor issue then I do not hold out much hope for anything other than a generic shiny American "OOO-RAH" feel-good TV series that's about as predictable as all of it's ilk. Romantic mush, religious mush, pseudo-philosophical mush. Mush, basically.

To those i've seen on IMDB saying "this is basically The Walking Dead with Aliens", that proves beyond doubt that some people barely takes note of what they are watching. The Walking Dead is gritty, brutal, and are were little to no feel-good, group-hug moments. People bled, people died (a lot), and there was a nagging feeling of desperation, tension, dread and despair the whole way though. This has none of that so far... no sense of the madness-inducing loss that the killing of your family and 95% of the worlds population within the last 6 months would bring (in fact it's kind of like people have accepted the events are are now kind of getting over it, the laughing and joking comes thick and many people stand around with a grin on their stupid faces), and i'm predicting will have precious little as the series progresses. Sigh.

Dissappointing: yes. Surprised: not really.

Re: TV Series discussed

we watched falling skies lastnight, pretty spot on review from richdog, I did comment to mrs bb2 that is was an alien theme mixed with zombies, thinking about it its trying to be a happy version of walking dead, but mix in some aliens (that you really don't see much of at all, a few seconds so far per episode) so quite disapointing

Added to that the huge gaping plot holes

So the survivors don't know how to kill the aliens or take down there machines, yet when they manage it by flook they leave the robot and alien behind without even trying to work out how they did it / study it / take there weapons

really hope it gets better, and quickly.

I was thinking the same myself, actually. I'm not much of a fantasy book fan (apart from Tolkien and CS Lewis), but GoT has got me enthralled.

I'm at the tournament stage of the books just now. It's amazing how closely they have kept to the novel in the series.

Indeed, the novels do very closely resemble the books.
