Recommendation for Greece

Hi

I plan to go on a vacation to Greece.

I found Hotel Zorba in Kos Island. Does anybody have any feedback on this ?

Or, please recommend some family friendly resort.Near a beach for sure.

Cheers

Are you committed to the island of Kos? If you would like to consider Crete, then I could highly recommend Elia Hotel & Spa (on the west side away from the tourists).

Have fun!

Re: Recommendation for Greece

Other than direct flights, Kos doesn't have a lot going for it. It is a dry island with not a great deal to recommend it. Crete is the biggest and most diverse island - but keep well away from the North West where the grockles go.

That said, you can't go to far wrong in Greece...

Re: Recommendation for Greece

Zakynthos aka Zante is both party and family friendly! Stay at Tsilivi beach, it is clean and shallow for children.
I recommend : Zante Maris Hotel :
http://www.xenos-hotels.gr/en/zante.maris.hotel.php.
Check out hotel reviews on Tripadvisor like what Polorise mentioned. Very good website!!!!

There are many sights, activities & beautiful beaches. (The famous Blue Caves & Shipwreck/Smugglers Cove)
http://www.zanteweb.gr/

They have some good deals in http://www.hotelplan.ch or else book separately.

Grockles? That's Lancashire, is that.

Having read the post below from Polorise, I realise we used it in Dorset too - though I rather hoped I'd imported it from t' North...

Interesting. When I lived on the Isle of Wight many moons ago, that was the term for tourists and non residents.
