Re: Why is it so hard to find a date in Zurich?! (hope my friends wont kill me)

Sadly, very sadly - it often comes to numbers. Ever since Italians came in large numbers to Switzerland in the 50s and 60s- it has influenced how they are seen by many Swiss (NOT me). Same with North Africans in France, or Indians in the UK. Italians are most welcome in the UK, as there are few of them, and Algerians and Morroccans are much more welcome in the UK than in France. A very sad fact, and one I wish was not so. So far Brits have been very welcome in France for instance- but in Dordogneshire, where they are so numerous, the balance is turning. Geneva might not be far behind due to the housing crisis.

But you gotta admit it makes riveting reading right!? Otherwise, why stay on the thread for so long?!

Given the choice between this and yet another "Is CHF120K enough to live on" type thread, I know where I'd rather be at!

Awesome!

See ya later for the next exciting round of instalments and I guess there's no point reeling out the "Eau de Fromage" parfum when we finally get to meet then in view of your *dance*?

I'd probably eat you. If it was decent fromage. And, I must admit, I can't actually dance.

No but you can charm the pants of little girls

I hope my friends wont kill me for posting this....

While I am happily married for quite a few years, I have not one but THREE female friends who have been single ever since I have met them.

The three are in their late 30's early 40's, and what they have in common is: they are expat, they are senior professionals in large multinationals (i.e., independent and good earners), and attractive. From where I see it, there is nothing wrong with any of the three. Oh! And they love sports and outdoors!

One of these friends tried actively the whole expat dating scene... unsuccessfully.
Another friend tried PARSHIP for a year now, unsuccessfully...
The other one is just way too picky and I doesnt look like she has tried beyond being set up from a limited circle of friends.

Any clues why is this? Any ideas how to get them out of their single-sein? None of them wants to stay single (otherwise I wouldnt be asking for help).
Read the book 'Manhood' by Australian, Steve Biddulph, that answers many questions about the modern man and his short comings (pun not intended).

It's all starting to make sense now, many people have said the thought I look italian when then first me me. That I look very italian.
Man people are shallow.

Create a dating event on the EF for all singles. We date for few weeks and then we switch around making old partners swap, so that no one misses same good opportunity . (credibility check and no pimps allowed). The countdown starts! Wonder how would that work?

And what is it all about with those girls who always and only fall for the bad boys or the gays?

Any ideas? Any pseudo-forum psychology ideas?

Dont invoke the Revenge of the Nerds, so far we are doing fine with the Vengeance of the unfulfilled Intelligent Females

I am writing a paper on that topic and would be with you shortly, once I've figured my days tasks

P.S. BTW once we have helped everyone with finding a Date in Zurich, we would be with you on your thread to help you with your Labor Pain Management, as effectively

Easy, just pissed me off and I won't have time to think about the pain!

No but on a serious not, I am thinking about a friend of mine who does have a very hard time to find someone. She is bisexuel and I am wondering if this make it more difficult for her to find someone to be happy with. Or if it has nothing to do with her troubles....

Any thoughts?
