I realized that the albums I listened to the most often were at least 25 years old. So I googled "Best albums of the 2000s", and using an article from a
Rolling Stone magazine issue, I bought the following:
- The Strokes' "Is this it?"
- The Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots"
- Kings of Leon's "Only by the night", "Youth and young manhood" and "Aha shake heartbreak"
- Arcade Fire's "Funeral"
- The Killers' "Hot fuss"
- Arctic Monkeys' "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not"
- Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrox"
- The Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Fever to tell"
- and Death Cab for Cutie's "Transatlanticism"
I'm stuck listening to the Arctic Monkeys album over and over again (I already liked them, having "discovered" them with AM).
