Looking to get Rayman for PS3 for an xmas prezzie for my daughter who is aged 11.

Would this be suitable or perhaps is it aimed at a younger age group.

Any advise appreciated.

Thanks

Mike
Had a look at it in the shops yesterday with a friend - looks real fun and I believe it's up to 4 players - definitely a recommendation for younger players and anybody who likes a bit of side-scrolling games. Can't go wrong with that!

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

The games rating is 7+ .........so i think it will be fine.

On play.com there are 2 versions available to purchase:

Link here: http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStatio...%7b10065%7d%2b

Its a little bit more expensive, but the collecters edition comes with various extra things. (when you sslect the game just click on the 'special features' tab)

cheers

Was a little slow starting with skyrim, but now I'm fully hooked.

What happens when it's time to quit

"I'll just finish this dungeon before I go to bed."
"Well I got the item, I might as well just take it back to that character and save."
"Oh, they just one me to do another thing to complete the quest? I'll just do that then."
"While I'm here, I'll just do this little side quest before I forget, then I'll save."
"Uhmmm, getting a bit heavy, just sell off a few itmes, make some stuff, all ready for next time I play."
"Uhmmmm, need xx item to make xx item, that won't take long to get."
"Wish I could make stuff better, let's see if we can level that skill up a bit."
"A quest you say? OK, just five more minutes."

6 hours later...

The stories are mostly independent, so it shouldn't matter. The events of oblivion are sometimes mentioned, but don't seem to bare much on the story. They both pretty much work the same, Skyrim has some newer stuff in and the graphics seem a lot better, but menu response is very slow.

Oblivion was a great game too, so, don't know, both will take a long long time to play.

Ouchboy:

I am back on the MW3 flex (now that i am pretty much done with AC:R).

I started doing the campain on veteran........the trophies are unlocking okay, no glitch here. Are you sure that you selected 'veteran' and not 'hard'??

On the main menu, before you select campain it will show your completion level percentage........what percentage is this showing?? If you have completed it on veteran this number should be pretty high (it might be just short of 100% depending on how much 'intel' you have collected.)

cheers

around 80%.

If I did finsish it on Hard, and I thought it was veteran that would be uber fail for MW3 :P.

They don't look PS2 while playing, combat is as good as most RPGs, but where it really shines is the world, locations are easy to remember as you learn your way around, each village is different and even walking around in the wilderness, you get to recognising features everywhere, even after only passing through once, you really get a feel for the place.

Plenty of options in the gameplay, side quests, main quests, potions, cooking, smithing, fitghting levelling and specialising mean you always have something to do. If one quest get's too hard, you go back to finishing your easier ones, or go do some levelling up, or just wander around exploring.

So its sort of Runescape but in first person??

I am tempted..........ES:4 is on play.com for like 17 euro..........might be worth a punt.......
