sorry but how do i kill soldiers? i cant see a combo or defense-break-through-kill executed controlled like before. it happens by hammering all buttons, but it sucks to get killed over n over again...

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

aaaaaaaaaaargh!

assasins creed 3 is the crappiest sequel ever!
i could smash in my TV!

yesterday i was stuck in the stockmenu! tried to get out of it but it didnt work! after hammering the buttons to buy wood or some meat eventually it got me out of it. wtf?

now between sequence 5 and 6 is a desmon-animous-intermission that i´m now stuck in! i spoke to the father, the other guy and tankgirl... after that i get repetitive texts over and over when i approach them and running around in the lab gets me nowhere out! sorry, but what is that?

another big time spoiler is: i run felt 10mins to Achilles, meet him... i skip the cinematographic and out of a sudden i have to run through thickest snow, climb a mountain and shit just to meet him again infront of his house where i actually was??? another cine-scene... what stupid timewaste is that???

and i find myself back running to a startingpoint -> (!) on the map and i cant reach it! and at times i dont know where to go?! i see the (!) sign, run towards it, it turns out its the boat travel thing. and i need to say where i want to go but i dont know???

i cant read messages, i dont find the mission described anywhere! only when i pause and then resume it displays what i am actually meant to do.

what is with all those sidemission? catch a bear... yeah, but where? i run around, check the clues...no bear in sight?!

i read that the games has glitches n bugs and that a huge patch is downloadable...but where? and how? the software update before i ran it the first time did nothing or little, it still has bugs in the game left...

crap!!!!

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I know what you mean flow, it is not a great game by any means, a real let down after the Renaissance AC games.

On that note, I have some games to sell, including the new Assassin's creed. Not sure what the going rates are, but maybe 20 per game? Can obviously negotiate and if you want more than one we can do a deal.

Games can be posted (buyer's expense) but i'd prefer to meet people in Zurich as a handover is easier...

Fallout New Vegas
Two Worlds II
Dragon's Dogma
PES 2012
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed 3

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I got my Ni no kuni last week, I love it! Its a typical JRPG, doesn't try to do anything new, reminds me a lot of Dragon Quest 8. Combat with familiars is interesting(the AI kind of stinks for the other characters though). But voice acting is some of the best I've heard in a game. Nice story, lots of side quests, crafting, and catching monsters like Pokemon! If you're looking for a fun rpg, I can highly recommend it!

And AC3...I've been stuck on sequence 9 for 2 months, I just can't finish it, can't bring myself to put in the ps3, and I loved all the other AC games...

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I have to admit I spent very little time using the PS3. I am looking forward to GTA5 - but I doubt I will be upgrading.

I guess a little piece of my inner gamer died when the AOE series came to an end

Got myself a Plus subscription and a Vita one month ago. Great deal, but Plus can be frustrating with just 40 Gb.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

One of the most impressive things i saw was Sony showed a clip from one developer (Havoc i think) who did an experiment with the new specs of the ps4 and dropped 1 million blue balls from the sky onto a small town to show over 1 million seperate objects reacting differently.

Also Song revealed the specs of the chips used etc....

Im no tech expert, but i do think Microsoft have just craped in their pants.

Microsoft need to make a move at E3 with the 720 and need to launch it for christmas, otherwise Sony will win the console war......again.

cheers

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

Anyone know when the Skyrim DLC's will be available here???

When i start the game, the main menu now has a new tab called 'downloadable content', but there is nothing in the PS store.

I have been searching google for about a week but cant find any info.

US and UK have it already........

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I'm trying hard to get excited about the PS4 but it isn't working. I found the PS3 to be a pretty disappointing experience overall compared to the PS2 and I can't shake the pessimism. I'd consider it solely for D3 on a console though, assuming it won't be coming out for the 720 or whatever.

Are you joking?

I recently played my PS2 again (Splintercell Pandora, new never played before) and I quickly powered it down and went right back to my PS3.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I can see liking the PS2 more just in terms of how the games were made and their playability. PS2 games were often more fun due to fast controller reaction time, most games targeting 60fps, and instant response from old CRT TVs. It's been an issue before, but with this generation it's seemingly become all about eye candy and less about playability. Most games these days have input lag of close to 200ms, and that's before you factor in inherent input lag from HDTVs and wireless Bluetooth controller. Some developers still care about controller response, but they're fewer and fewer.

It's well-known that one reason Call of Duty games have so much success is that they all target 60fps and you feel it in the gameplay. I remember plugging in my old PS One, throwing in Chrono Cross, and being sort of shocked at how quick the controller response was. I think most of us have forgotten what truly intuitive gameplay feels like. The most egregious example of this is the old PS2 Zone of the Enders games being rereleased in HD on the PS3 recently and actually running at 30fps instead of the 60fps they did on the PS2! Fast action was a staple of that series and by all accounts they pretty much ruined the games. Thankfully that's the exception. The God of War and Ico/SoC collections re-released in HD were running in silky smooth 60fps. But if you're upgrading to next generation technology and can't even make the game play better, what's the point?

People were hoping fast controller response becoming the standard with the new generation but the PS4 Killzone demo plays at 30fps. :-/ Oh well.
