Re: [General discussion of] PS3

When is GT5 scheduled to be released in CH?
In Montreal it's been delayed (for the 1000x) to the end of the year...

Aside from that, I'm wondering if I can simply change the plug on my NA PS3 and ship to to ZH. I already ordered a new euro cord because I've been told I can, but I'm wondering if I'm going to lose anything...

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

i have a question to Red Dead Redemption:

i am at the last missions, the sharp shooter and hunting missons. its when you need to shoot 2 hats and shoot 2 peeps to disarm without killing somebody.

do i have to do that in one go? because though i use dead eye, it happens that i kill the guy though i shoot at his hands with my colt. is this mission over and i need to start from anew? do i have to shoot another 2 hats and then disarm 2 again? because i cant finish (it seems) the mission when i kill somebody.

and what gun do i need when i have to shoot 6 animals without reloading?
repetier rifle?

those bears were a pain in the popo to shoot!

Just looked at my Amazon order (ordered 16th oct last year!) It says delivery estimate 8-15th Nov. From the UK.

hog tie the person then shoot the hat off.
Guns are much easier, no you don't have to do it in one go.

Mauser Gun.

Bears are best shot with double barrelled.

I just picked up a Euro powercord from Interdiscount when I got here and plugged in my PS3 and it's been fine.

Don't hold your breath. The game just went gold yesterday, so the earliest release date is likely to be late November/early December. It may be right before Christmas.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I really hope its vastly different from the crap prolouge.

For me 'Need For Speed Shift' is still currently the best driving game on PS3.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I have been a fan of the shooting games on the PS2 in the past.
Time Crisis series is exciting and Point Blank excellent fun for a party.

Now I see there is Time Crisis 4 is out on Friday incorporating a 'Move' gun.
Sounds good, just hope it's backwards compatible with my old games. My replacement PS3 plays PS1 and PS2 games.

When ordering from amazon do you guys use the amazon currency converter or just let your bank decide?

£38.80 for black ops...was cheaper than the UK price

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I have just ordered Brotherhood from amazon (my last Play order got lost, and that's never happened with Amazon, so I'll pay the extra £4 in postage). One of the things I really like about the AC series, is that it's predominantly very light in colour - I have issues with very dark games...are there any other similar things out there?

Well in terms of light any of the Tiger Woods games are good. Nice soundtracks on all as well. Of course the game play is nothing like AC lol.

COD WorldatWar & ACI arrived today.......should keep me busy till Black Op's & ACB arrives!!!!

I think I found the currency converter would cost me more in terms of CHF, compared to my bank doing the transfer from GBP to CHF.

It gets cheaper because they eliminate UK taxes or something like that from the original price, once you set the shipping address to Schweiz!

Amazon just mailed this morning to let me know GT5 is delayed, again...

No date given for actual release in the mail or on my account, just says they'll let me know soon.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I'm absolutely into Fallout New Vegas, little slow to get going, and it's got an annoying tendency to crash occasionaly, but still I sit there, saying to myself, "just one more quest, just do this one little task", next thing I know it's one o'clock in the morning.

I've read since buying it that it'll take me 60-80hrs to complete, it should keep me busy for a couple of months.

If you like Fallout 3 or Oblivion: the Elder scrolls, it's definitely worth a punt.
