and effing expensive!!!
How much do you think that would cost here?
In Montreal you can have one custom made for around 350-400 including the seat, plus around 250 for the steering... so for 650 you're in business!

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I think using a real car dashboard was going a bit too far, myself ....

The best setups that I have seen involve using 3 monitors to give a much wider field of vision. You can even get special vibration devices to shake the cockpit.

I've got a Logitech G25 wheel myself - I use it with a Wheelstand Pro which allows me a pretty rigid mount when using the wheel but I can store it away under the stairs when not in use, much less nerdy ...

If I had that rig I would even use my race suit and helmet when playing GT5
Unfortunately, I don't have room for such a setup

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

both uncharteds are awesome. i agree that the first one is worth playing first.... what was great about uncharted is that it could have been an average tomb-raider lite, but ended up being so much more.... like a movie where you dont expect much and it turns out great.

i have only dipped into cod black ops and god of war III, but both look fun enough. currently still trying to complete red dead..... almost makes me WISH for a shorter single player campaign, still only at 60%....

GT5 gonna land on my doormat next week hopefully from amazon... though i have to say im not such a massive fan. i preferred the kinetic energy and atmosphere of need for speed shift and project gotham racing (ahhhh, my first real taste of multiplayer on the xbox 360... so much fun!.... although i had a pretty bad hangover on launch day and felt a bit sick while playing it).

had a peek at kinect in interdiscount tonight... have to say it looked interesting and i might make room for it at some point.

Since Assassin's Creed 2 is on back order with Play.com, I might see if I can cancel it and get it from you instead. I'll let you know.

Gran Turismo 5 reviews have been disappointing. Looks like I'll be playing Forza 3 until GT5 drops to budget price, which it'll definitely do early next year.

Yeah i have been watching the vids on youtube. Real shame as i have always enjoyed the GT series since the begining. Back to 'Need For speed Shift'.

Whats Forza 3 like in compared to NFSS?

It's slightly less arcade-y (no artifice like the camera shaking), but is good balance between NFS and the absolute dryness of Gran Turismo. The opponent AI (which apparently still hasn't improved in GT5) is good, too. I also like the customization options. Plus, you get the new Fiat 500 Abarth as your first car, how awesome is that?

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

Is somebody playing battlefield 1943?

you can only play multiplayer, you donīt need original battlefield 1 or 2, it is costing 22 chf in the playstation store to download. if you like multiplayer FPS in a huge map, not like COD but in a different way.
if somebody else is playing, add me in ps3 network: sefiller.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

Only dipped into Heavy Rain as it arrived same time as Black Ops and was not overly impressed. However last night i spent some time with it.

Now i am a huge fan. I could not stop playing. I am only half way through but already cannot wait to play from the begining again.

I really hope they make another one as i cant see myself playing it more than 3 times through.

In summary.......highly recommended!!

cheers

Still waiting for mine to arrive, hopefully today......currently waiting for the postman to arrive.

I was looking at the trophies and was a bit annoyed at how many online ones there are. And some of them look pretty tricky.

Anyone got ACB yet? I know the solo play will be great but am wondering if the multiplayer is much better than the Beta (which i was not so keen on). Feedback would be good.

cheers
