FIFA 11 arrived yesterday and my wife had to stump up 25.- for it . I thought Play.com sent goods in such a way that import duty was not levied?
Have you ordered Fifa 11 seperately or in combination with another game? I have done this previously, ordering two games (one for me, one for my friend) - but as it turned out, they have declared the total value on the first package on which I had to pay duty/vat... Yet when I ordered COD Black Ops only, no additional fees were collected by customs/swiss post..

I ordered with AC I & II, then cancelled AC II as I bought SwissCheddar's copy. AC I has not turned up yet. Total cost was ~€69.

Ah well, spot of bad luck I guess... my order came in at €60.- and no additional debit note... probably a high exchange rate used at customs.

...bloody indian call centre...
I doubt if the call center being in India or Northern Ireland would've made a bit of difference. They all read from a script.

AC:B finally arrived on Saturday.

Its basicly ACII with 80% of annoying things fixed.

So many things to do which is great for my OCD.

Once you get to about sequence 5.........its all about pressing L2!!!!!!!

Too much to list.....its so good.

If you liked ACII this is a must buy!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't be bothered reading through 63 pages and google is giving me mixed answers. My current gaming experience is limited to Mario brothers, my days playing on a commodore 64, seeing my husband play and (my introduction to gaming from my husband) Little big planet.

Will my husbands PS3 purchased in Australia play games bought here? I need to know if I should order his Christmas present from an Australian website or buy it here.

Many thanks in advance

They'll play, but some games won't have the english language available if bought here. No need to order from Australia though, try ordering from the UK, much easier on the postage. I use Amazon.co.uk, I think Play.com is also recommended.

Great. Many thanks. The dvd region coding had me confused. I think I'll buy a copy of Assassin whilst he's overseas and make sure it works before I give it to him

remember to buy ACII and Brotherhood at the same time, but hide Brotherhood until he's done with ACII - they should rightly be played back to back. The wait nearly drove me insane!

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

gt5 is very annoying. the menus, waiting times, yawn yawn yawn. the racing itself seems fine but the game is so limiting unless you spend loads of time on it, which i am not prepared in the slightest to do. do i really have to race crappy cars for ten hours before i can race good ones in the campaign mode. jeez.

on the other hand, i just got apache air assault, a sort of helicopter simulation. i can recommend this if you like flight games (which i do), otherwise, well its tough to say.

i have heard that pacman champtionship edition (the new one) on PSN is rather fine. i have the demo downloaded but havent played yet.

red dead redemption has stalled for the moment at 60% complete.

Sorry KRLOCK,
You're a regular contributor to this thread but surely you know that all the Gran Tourismo series are like this.
Didn't you own a PS2 for the previous games in the series?
I felt the same yawn factor about GT4. Will still buy it probably.

Re: TODAY ONLY 30% off all GAMES - Free Delivery

Thanks for the link and update...

Slightly off topic but a quick question related to the PS3... I bought my PS3 here in 2008, would UK purchased games work on it?

So I did the apple-on-the-pedastal scene and sat through 30 minutes of credits and then continued and now I'm just running around doing contracts. Where can I find the continuation of the story? There's no [!].

I have not got that far.

There must be some mission, wolfmanthing hideout you have not done yet.

Or even perhaps a treasure chest is hiding the icon??

Or considering you watched the credits......its game over.........im sure they will release further sequences on the PS-Store like they did for ACII.

I am pretty OCD when it comes to AC, i have just got the parachute and am am currently collecting every single treasure/gylph/painting/building/shop.

Story wise i think i have just finished sequence 5 or 6......

Was up till 3am last night and trained all my buddies up to Assasin.

L2 is such a pleasure.

Got 45% of trophies so far , and i have not even played the multiplayer yet.

cheers
