T, and the first few games were confusing, frustrating and quickly over, but it improves.
Isn't that the case with almost everything in life....

i tried Dead Nation but I think it's really crappy, abandoned it after few minutes, i'm happy i didn't pay for it...it was the only interesting game for me in the bunch of free games. infamous is a wonderful game, but I played it already
Haha...for me it's completely the opposite..I paid for Dead Nation when it came out and have been playing it quite often, I actually just finished the morbid difficulty. I think it is one of the best top-down shooters in years and it is clearly made by people with a lot of love for the zombie genre. I tried Infamous with the welcome back programme but so far I really don't get why this game was getting such good reviews..

lvl14?? all you need is an mp5k with rapid fire and y'all set. I prestiged and I'm still using it through out the whole 50 levels.

(hardline pro) (sleight of hand pro) (marathon pro) + strela 3

I always knew you were a 'sprayer'.

I just want to get back up to lvl 44 again. All about the 'commando'.

I wish i did not prestige the last time. Most annoying thing is trying to getting the 'pro' perks again.

Commando is pretty good, and gettting the pro perks is so annoying i just get the easy ones (marrathon, sleight of hand)

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

Just finished L.A. Noire. It was interesting but I am a bit disappointed. The game structure is too rigid, like Mafia II, you are forced to do the missions and ignore the rest. Also the plot is not very interesting, doesn't get you emotionally involved in the story like GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption.

The game is kind of repetitive, always go to the crime scene, collect the evidences, question the people and it doesn't really matter if you get the right answers or not...and by the way everybody doesn't tell the truth 99% of the time during questioning, so either you doubt them o tell them they're lying (if you have evidence to support it).

I'd say that the best game of the GTA family is Red Dead Redemption.

I'm only about halfway through and I'm gradually coming to the same conclusion. I do think the facial animations are fantastic though, and the story seems to be coming together gradually, but it is all a bit repetitive to be honest. I am determined to finish it, but whether I go on an extensive trophy hunt is another question.
I think the best game I've played so far on the PS3 is Arkham Asylum (out of 2 games completed, another 5 in progress)

Well..I tend to agree about LA Noire...In the beginning it was interesting but gradually its the same thing over and over. So...kinda boring.
I am actually thinking about infamous 2 which looks pretty cool. The demo was quite good.
I almost finished infamous 1 and it is quite fun to play. (yes, I know its late but I just got a PS3)

Now that I have both the xbox and the ps3 I can see the differences.
There are areas where the ps3 is better but also places where the xbox comes out ahead.
But of course, this discussion can go on for ever.

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

I can't seem to find the time to play anymore, especially with the sunshine.

Had a rainy weekend not so long ago and finally finished Dead Space 2, honestly didn't find it as good as the first one, somehow not as tense and the ending seemed a bit of a let down.

Also, finished single player Kill Zone 3, was OK, some fun new bits, but very short, seems to be the way of a lot of FPS games nowadays, I hardly ever play online, so I guess I lose a lot of the value there. KZ2 was one of the few I played online for some time.

Assasins Creed Brotherhood next. No new games till I complete the ones I got...

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

KZ3 was one of the few games I've ever finished, and to be honest if they're too long I probably wouldn't finish them as I have too many other distractions.

I do enjoy KZ3 online too - particularly with the Sharpshooter attachment and (sometimes) in 3D. The sharpshooter really adds to the immersive feeling, not to mention my accuracy has improved no end.

I'm also playing LA Noire and agree with the overall sentiment on here, but would like to try and finish it, and then go back and finish Red Dead, which on balance I think is the better game.

I haven't played RDR yet but thanks for the tip on L.A. Noire.
I found GTA4 similarly a bit souless.
For me Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was the best of the series and I've played all the GTA games since the original GTA on the PS1.
But it's a PS2 game and only playable on a few PS3 versions I think. Luckily including mine.

Skyrim is on the top of my list by far. Oblivion was the reason I bought my first gaming console.

Agree completely about GTA:SA.
There was more to the story and the characters had more depth.
Plus there were more kinds of vehicles and more options of what to do with them.
But somehow, I still sneak in sometime to old GTA2 for old times sake.
(Played all GTA's btw)

I don't know man.
Maybe Oblivion is not my cup of tea.
I tried it out a bit but got really bored waiting for events which only happen on certain times and long travel times.
