Finally finished LA Noire. As other have said, the crime-scene investigation parts get a bit samey, but I think the storyline really held it together. My kids have helped me get a few trophies for driving, vehicles etc. I still need to collect all the film reels, get the last 8 street crimes and the last remaining POIs, then I'm basically done with it. Not sure I'll bother with the DLC cases.

Yeah, once i had finished it, i went back and grabbed a couple of trophies, but just like Heavy Rain (which was a great game) it just has no playability longevity.

cheers

Well, in that case I would abstain from any 1st person shooters.. But do check out Softridge in HB and Stadelhofen every now and then - they have 2nd hand games in both stores - usually a good deal (for Switzerland) if you don't want to shell out the standard price - also there seems to be quite a few people who finish their new games in a couple of days and re-sell them to the store while they still can recover some of their charges.

Me, I'll wait for Battlefield 3 (I think I've probably had a bit of a COD overdose), even though the console version is rather restricted.

Currently playing Dead Island... quite good fun to rough up some Zombies from close-up

Re: [General discussion of] PS3

So guys, need a bit of advice.

I need a decent headset for my ps3. I assume this is going to be usb-based.
Any suggestions ? Or should I just go into a store and pick up the first one I see. Anything I need to keep in mind or such ?

Thanks much.

I can highly recommend this one: click here

Although most of the 'earpiece' style ones will be okay. Sony has a new version of theirs out, more expensive but i dont know what its like. I do know that their old one was crap.

I would avoid the 'half-headphone' ones.

OMG!

When you move up to AC:II you will notice a huge upgrade in all aspects of gameplay including the sheer size of the sandbox.

I await your 'holy crap this is amazing' post.

I know, I know. I got stuck at a certain bit, so bought and played Arkham Asylum and LA Noire, as well as starting Dead Space 2 and Two Worlds II. Boith my girls have played and completed both ACII and Brotherhood, that's why I have some of the trophies.
